""I'm willing to put all of [Bush's Guard record] aside and not bring any of that up ... but you better do the same with John Kerry," proposed Ford. "It's clear where [Kerry] was [during the early 1970s] And at this moment it's unclear where the president was."
Tell you what Ford, buddy. Let's you and everybody else bring out all the facts, then let the voter's decide, mmmmkay?

Rep. Harold Ford is a total jerk. Mystifies me why conservatives cut him slack , thinking he is a Black moderate.
He's from an old time entrenched Memphis family

"If you want to show pictures of him with Jane Fonda and other things, then the president ought to produce all the evidence [about his Guard service]," he railed. To H. Ford.
Why should Bush produce all his records, You didn't furnish the photos we did. So You furnish your own records.

".... Ford threatened to "revive this thing on the National Guard" if questions about Kerry's Jane Fonda connection persist.
The Tennessee Democrat attempted to defend Kerry's decision to team up with Fonda after she adopted his group, Vietnam Veterans Against the War, as her leading cause.
"For someone who went over there and almost gave his life, [Kerry] pretty much can say whatever the heck he wants to say, in my book," ....
Oh, my goodness, a threat of dirty politics from a democrat. LOL What a pity young Mr Ford wasn't schooled in history instead of his family's business of graft and corruption. Since junior is so fascinated with 30 year old records perhaps someone ought to challenge him to produce all of Kerry's records, every last one of them.

rep.harold.ford.jr@mail.house.gov This is Rep. Ford's address. Seeing as how he does not want to discuss this, I thought I'd send him a copy of it.

If Kerry believes he was correct in his Vietnam protests, he should want more exposure of this and other pictures like it. He is trying to have it both ways - to appear both pro and anti-military at the same time, but I don't think Americans are going to stand for a wishy-washy campaign strategy as the election grows closer. He'll have to pick one and go with it.
To: kattracks
Let's see -- the Bush National Guard flap has been in the national news for days. The Kerry/Fonda picture hasn't discussed anywhere except for the usual places sympathetic to our side -- Fox News, Washington Times, talk radio. No, there's no bias in the media.

I see a wonderful opportunity for the anti-billboard groups.
Plaster a 50 foot blowup of this pic on every billboard in the country and billboards, as a venue of advertising, will be outlawed by nightfall.
PLUS - the peacenik libs will destroy or burn down any that aren't removed before the next morning.
They're going beserk, folks!

Vietnam Vets Against the War are still very active anti-war organization.
Is Kerry still supporting them?

For someone who went over there and almost gave his life, [Kerry] pretty much can say whatever the heck he wants to say, in my book," he told "Fox & Friends." "Almost gave his life"??? When did THIS happen? When he got Purple Hearts for his three band aid scratches? When he stupidly beached his boat and leaped off to finish off an already-wounded VC with a shot in the back? (thereby risking his entire crew for his only 'glory')
Ford is clearly ill-informed as to Kerry's REAL war record.
To: kattracks
Hoisted by his own petard. Kerry proclaims at every opportunity the import of his Viet Nam service. He denigrates Bushs service, and tries to make an issue of what George Bush was doing in 1971. Now, he is about to have Jane Fonda draped about his neck. He can neither claim that his radical years were too distant or unimportant, because he has criticized Bush of much lesser at the same time.
Kerry has called Bush out, charged into the corral with a BB gun, fired the first shots, ineffectually spent all his rounds, and now is staring down loaded .50 calibers.

The congressman urged the GOP to keep its focus on the issues that are important to America's future rather than rehashing irrelevant details from Sen. Kerry's past.A statement such as that always seems to win with the Republicans. The picture will be destroyed and never brought up again - the Pubs will see to it.
