Well, to paraphrase Mr Habib : "We French would have preferred that Islamists respect our feelings, since obeying the laws of the Republic is an obligation in our democratic society"

. . . Paris had previously enjoyed a positive image in the region "due to its political positions, especially with respect to the Palestinian cause."
Better heighten security before cafes and buses start getting blown up.
"The veil is an obligation that no Muslim has the right to modify," Habib said.
"The Muslim nation sees the veil as one of the foundations of its religion."
I thought this was previously debunked as something started in recent times.

>>>>>CAIRO, Feb 10 (AFP) - The passage by France's National Assembly on Tuesday of a bill to ban the Muslim headscarf from state schools ....
Another media LIE. It was not headscarf that was banned, it was ALL RELIGIOUS SIGNS on overt display- JEWISH SCULLCAPS, CHRISTIAN CROSSES, MUSLIM HIJAB and SIKH TURBAN.
One have to wonder - if only Crosses and Skullcaps were banned, would radical Muzleems object? Or their supporters in presstitute corps?
We should not let the animosity toward French cloud our reason. French Revolution was built upon American model.
Radical islamists march on France today, U.S. tomorrow.

I suspect that the French are going to regret allowing millions (about 5 million, I believe)largely uneducated and unemployable Muslims into France- and then piling them up in high-rises surrounding many of their main cities...
I wonder if the coming attack on Paris or Toulouse (or -fill in the blank_____) will change their attitude towards the War on Terrorists???

If I were living in a country that made me as unhappy as France is making these "peace loving" Muslims, I would leave.
Seems like a no-brainer to me.

"Mideast Islamists slam headscarf ban"
Well, anything that meets the criteria of having militant islamists slam it, I am automatically for. So I guess I am for the headscarf ban.
Please check your towels at the door :)
