Actually, it's 71 years according to the link I posted in
#73. It started with the 73rd congress. There was a republican majority for the 73rd, but that was the McCarthy era, which only lasted 2 years, then we lost it again. After that, we were saddled once again with more socialism. (Notice the 73 theme going on here? too weird) Also, notice, the 75th had only 89 republicans in the house. I'm surprised there are conservatives. We need to do to the dems what happened to the GOP. Change would happen. It's impossible to think we can change the tenor of this country in 2 years.
