I have seen *conservatives* on this board literally threatening to blackmail Bush by threatening to withold their votes if HE doesn't do what THEY want him to. Well, he has done MANY right things and I've not seen an ounce of due respect for the man. He deserves it.
EV, you know darn well he has turned the tide of Socialism in this country. They are spilling out of the rafters like termites. Ted Kennedy has puffed up so much, he has come close to actually exploding a few times. (I'm waiting for that one.)
He has intimidated the UN into darn near silence. Al Quaeda squeaks, but it does not roar like it did when Clinton was in office. When does our PRESIDENT get some credit from the folks who claim to want the best for this country?

His Justice department has taken up OUR interpretation of the Second Amendment for the first time in over a hundred years.
He has gone over Clinton's Executive orders with a fine tooth comb and repealed and repealed. Justice demands fairness. I haven't seen Bush get any from almost anyone.
Surprise of surprises, Neil Boortz, who I would have expected to be a lot more down on the deficit than any of you, actually said that it is a red herring issue.
The UN can't manipulate him, but any dem who got into office would be prime for them, red meat.
Bush went to England and charmed the Brits who were there to hate him.

What DO you want from him?
Now, if anybody, and I mean anybody, has really legitimate grievance against Bush, I certainly haven't seen it. All I've seen are liberal lies repeated in conservative rhetoric, and I wonder why that is? Why can't you see down the road instead of just on the corner where you stand? He has put into place long term programs. This is called Vision. Ronald Reagan had it. Bush has it. When does he get his kudos?

It's not 'blackmail'. It is sovereign citizens of the United States exercising their franchise the way they see fit. If they don't want to vote for him, they won't...and all the insults you can throw at them are not likely to make them change their minds. Quite the contrary.

You can make all the wonderful points you want about all of the wonderful things the President has accomplished, and they get lost in the clutter of your bad attitude.

Good post Nix. It beats the hell out of the influx of Bircher articles lately.

I haven't said a single word against the President on this thread. If you bothered to read, instead of jerking your knees constantly, you would have realized that.

You didn't even stop to consider the fact that I am a Bush supporter.

I'll stack the number of votes I won for the President in 2000, and the ones I'm likely to help him win this year against most here.

That's not called blackmail. It's called exercising one's right as a citizen (voting, or witholding a vote).

These people sound like O'Reilly. If you don't agree with him, you are wrong. I love the way he expected to beat hellary in book sales. He will not ever consider that people won't buy his book because of his Bush-bashing.

he has turned the tide of Socialism in this country.

The President is trying to undo in small increments what the libs have done the same way, only over the last 60 years. teddy's response is fun to watch. All of a sudden, teddy's HMO building may start coming down. The libs built, brick by brick, and it can be demolished the same way. Some just want the President to use a bulldozer. I like the health savings plan. I wish the drug bill could have more means testing.

He is doing what he campaigned for. That is something else the libs don't like. He does what he says he will do. Can you believe it? A politician does what he campaigns on.
