Personally, I'm getting it from both sides. Living in Urban California, I'm surrounded by the "ABB" voters and Turnip Diary Reading Conservatives who think that defeating our President will bring about this Conservative Revolution (violent or otherwise) that will result in a return to those Glorious Days of Yesteryear (which in California had most people speaking Spanish) or some-such nonsense.

Members of both of these groups ask me with mocking bruskness--"You can't be serious, you're voting for Bush?"

To which I respond--"Yes, for many reasons, I'll give you just two--1) A vote for anyone else wil make my Taxes Increase and, 2) Most Importantly, Picture the celebrations on the West Bank, in Syria, Iran, Iraq, Yemen and all those other places where they really hate us the day after Kerry is elected."

Nope. But I am in complete agreement that the complainers, here, post way more than they should, by their membership percentage of this site. A vast manjority of them have NEVER supported the president, any are fringers, andx molst, if noyt all of them don't understand politics at all.

I'll say it again: It is politically stupid to blast all conservatives and try and paint them as fringers. You folks do it all the time. And the fact is, you're doing more damage than the true fringers by far to the President's reelection efforts.

Naw. That ain't possible. Of COURSE they want Bush to succeed rather than kidnap your kids from three years old on. If someone tried to make you park your gun with the government for 10 hours a day, and maybe find reasons why you shouldn't be allowed to own one if you don't agree with their POV, you would be on the fast end of a short fuse...but take the kids....please.

I'm more libertarian than conservative, but I also know we are at war with the shadow of terrorism: If we do not win this war, none - NOT A ONE - of the libertarian/conservative ideals I hold dear are going to mean a damned thing. If you have any conscience whatsoever for those who've already died in this war, if you have any freedom loving values at all, you must vote to re-elect George W. Bush. Good heavens, it really doesn't get any simpler than that!
