I was wondering if and when the story would get to Kerry's breaking of the spending limit. Of course, it's at the bottom.

I remember being angry when I heard about that - a typical Dem move, I thought. Win at all costs.

Kerry is not to be underestimated in the lengths he will go to win - breaking deals, changing his position, going dirty. Bush is personally underestimated. There is a difference, but I thought it interesting that this story tries to get the "underestimated" tag on Kerry.

I don't think the Bush campaign will underestimate what the Dems will to do win. If they do, they deserve to lose, as his father did in 1992, Dole did in 1996, and Dan Lundgren and Bill Simon did in California in 1998 and 2002. I think that was Weld's mistake, too, although I've never lived in MA.

And I thought the line "Eight lurching weeks later" was interesting. I wonder if the writer has seen side by side photos of Kerry and Lurch, or listens to Rush?

It's ridiculous that Kerry was able to successfully paint Weld, the quintessential RINO, as a right-wing extremist.
