SANAA, Yemen, Jan. 24 (UPI) -- A purported statement by al-Qaida in Yemen warned Saturday of a "major strike" soon in the United States.
The statement, distributed by the Yemeni Tagamoo Party for Reforms, said: "A major strike, a big event will take place in America soon," reminiscent of the Sept. 11 attacks.

"- we captur(ed) OBL in Iran, but we'll claim we captured him in Afghnistan when the time is right"
Sounds like a good hunch. I think we might have Tesla-ed Iran into giving us OBL...or just Tesla-ed an entrance to grab him with spec.ops.

But -- but -- I thought Osama was already "bagged and tagged"?
So which is it?
jeez. It's pretty clear something is going on. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense for military operations to be taking place when we supposedly took bin laden down a month or two ago...
I give these newer rumblings much more credit based on surrounding circumstances.
To: JustPiper
That was a very interesting show with a lot of good information even though they put it in a time slot where not many people would see it.
I'm very jaded about this invasion since I've lived in Southern California for many many years and have seen our neighborhoods, streets and jobs taken over by legals/illegals who ruin those neighborhoods with gangs, shootings, graffiti and garbage. You have to speak Spanish now to obtain many jobs in the medical or service industries!!!
The bottom line is IMHO that our government will not do anything about this illegal border crossing until we are attacked again and "we" can prove that some of the terrorist attackers came through the "open" border. I feel so sorry for the people who have to live with that filth crossing their property day after day and live like prisoners in their own country. I have been trying to fight this scourge for years but have given up. More power to those that continue the fight.

seems your junk mail is following you. LOL
I am skeptical of these OBL capture reports. My sources tell me there is nothing to them.

I took the weekend off, and now I'm trying to catch up with the thread. Looks to me that we're all still alive and well and that the Islamic New Year came and went without the nukechembio attack that EOM and Daleel and others have promised for many many months now. What's the new drop dead, end of the world date, if any?

Mansur's playing some devious game by his emphasis on Iran, effectively shielding and trying to shift responsibility from Osama away from the Pakis.
And what I want to know is why he's ensconsed in Europe instead of the USA? Is he dodging the 9.11 commission or some further inquiry into the L'Affair Pearl.
Sorry, don't buy him at all, if any. A FlimFlam man. Rich and accomplished, but very untrustworthy and a double talker, despite the fanclub he seems to have on this site.
To: swarthyguy
FLimFlam? Untrustworthy? Could you expound on your thoughts as this is the first time I have read of anything negative about the guy. Isn't Mansur Ijaz working with a bunch of retired Pentagon big cheeses in an international business consulting consortium of some sort? Might his location be part of this business affiliation and might that be a special ops unto itself?

TEOTWAWKI has been indefinitely postponed, as far as I can see, though it is interesting to note the ongoing preps for urban WMD attacks and the military training of the national park staff.
Kudos to homeland security and our troops home and abroad.

I have serious reservations about his role in the Danny Pearl affair.
He was an investor in the factory in the Sudan bombed by the US.
He was seeking contracts in Sudan at the time of the BinLadin offer to Clinton, authentic IMO, but think Ijaz boosted his role in the affair (i've read Losing Binladin by Richard Miniter)
After 9.11, his analysis always defended the Pakis role in jihad and nukes, and I found that particularly rich when he was claiming objectivity.
Plus, I can't think of much he's said on Fox that's turned out to be accurate. Apart from sociological statements analysing and describing the state of US muslims.
IMO, anybody who claims to be a wheeler dealer in international affairs and is simultaneously such a self booster, when discretion is highly valued in these affairs, is a little suspect to me.
But people swear by him. That's their prerogative.

Beware the Eids of March.
To: swarthyguy
What does your intuition say on the Danny Pearl affair?
To: Labyrinthos
I predict that the next attack will occur exactly 19-223 days after this thread finally dies. ;)
Even the craziest of us are starting to be bored by the daily barrage of nothingness...
As others have stated, awesome job by Homeland Security... I think they stopped quite a bit from ever occurring over the past months.
To: nwctwx
I wonder what history will say about the last three months, long after we have passed and documents once classified are opened to the scholars of the time.
To: Domestic Church
Please read Who killed Danny Pearl by Bernard Henri Levy.
I agree with Levy; Pearl inadvertently may have found something out about official Pakistani Military and Intel Agency coordination of Osama, AQ or even the whole nuke program.
Or perhaps he stumbled upon the rumored hideout of Osama during this time, the 10K strong Binori Mosque Compound fortress in Karachi.
Witness the kid glove treatment of his alleged killer and mastermind of the plot, Omar Sheikh, who despite a death sentence is ensconsed comfortably in a Pakistani jail, without a care in the world. He certainly doesn't think he's going to die.
To: Labyrinthos
What history will say will depend in large on what happens in the future (a future full of constant threat). Unfortunately, it will only take one attack that manages to fool the system and everyone will forget about the great job done in the past.

Great summary!

"National Park Service (USNPS) is training in combat manuevers for the first time ever!" Insignificant footnote: USNPS prepares our national parks (officially set aside by U.N. charter) for military "refugee" camps. That's pretty interesting. Do you have a link/source so I can read more? Thanks.
