Cyanide salts are used in hundreds of manufacturing processes.True, but the fact that they found it in one of Abu Musab Zarqawi's safehouses makes this a significant story. This guy is Al Qaeda's poison expert. I don't think he's just setting up a silver reclaimation business.

Yes, I recall working with it to temper brake components on one of my first "adult" jobs. I was 17. 3rd rate shop whose safety equipment seemed to "mysteriously" get a lot better just before an OSHA audit, and then disappear shortly thereafter. Even after several rinses, there was enough residue on the parts to sting your bare skin. I shudder when I remember that job.
