In the money category, Cain shows he's No. 2, and trying harder
We're hearing that U.S. Senate candidate Herman Cain, a Republican, will show $1.5 million raised and $1 million in cash on hand, which makes him No. 2 in the fund-raising category. Much of the money comes from 7,300 contributors.
The total sum includes some personal money, but not enough to trigger the Federal Election Commission's millionaire clause, which would relax the caps for his other two opponents, Mac Collins and Johnny Isakson.
Collins recently said he'd be showing about $700,000 in cash on hand. Isakson, of course, has already raised a bajillion dollars.

Exactly how many 'bajillions' of dollars does Isaskson have? And, assuming Cain's having more money than Collins translates into getting more votes than Collins, can Cain beat Isakson in the runoff?

I gave $50 to him and if I can give most people should be able to, so please please give money to Cain, he's a true conservative, and should win in a walk in the Georgia general election.

Jack King isn't running? You mean Jack Kingston? No, he is not. Cain is the conservative option in this race.

I hope Herman Cain would self-finance his campaign to win the primary. Isakson needs to be beaten. Never send a RINO to do a conservative job. Herman Cain is the man!

Glad to hear Herman's getting in the game. I'd like to see a new poll. I'm afraid too many people are gonna be willing to settle for Isakson.

Mac Collins isn't conservative?
This guy is anti-UN and anti-criminal immigration.

Isakson's got $3m on hand.
Dems have some white guy from DeKalb named Leshaw, a black state senator (Nadine Thomas), and Mary "Sonny is a racist" Squires.

Both Cain and Collins are fine gentlemen. The real enemy is Johnny Isakson. I hope the GA Senate threads don't turn into a rehash of those John Linder vs. Bob Bar threads in 2002.

It amazes me how these people can raise money. As an independent candidate my fundraising is very hard to come by, without party and PAC support, it is just difficult to get people to support with dollars! I've been studying how the various candidates raise money including Bush and Dean, since they have set the bar on raising money, and it really varies, but in all cases it takes money to make more money, as with most things in this world!
I hope to unlock their secret soon!

I am pulling for Cain, but I'm going to push the abuse button because of the stunt with the source. Punch the AJC link, and it takes you to the Cain campaign site rather than to the liberal fishwrapper.

I initially was going to post the campaign's press release, but then found the article on AJC. Obviously, I didn't change the source.
