Heavenly Father,

We come to You this day in the name of Jesus Christ, whose shed blood was offered as a payment for our sins, that we might have everlasting life. Father, You are the wellspring of power, of hope, of love, and of strength. Help us to approach Your throne of grace with thanksgiving and praise.

May the Name of Jesus Christ be praised for the many ways You are answering our prayers and working in our nation. Thank You, Father, that Your Spirit reigns in our President.. We are grateful for the joy and blessing of having a man of God as the leader of the Free World. We thank You for the mighty witness You have called him to be and we pray that he would gain boldness in living in the truth of the Gospel. Thank You that he acknowledges his need for the people of this nation to support him in prayer. Thank You that he understands You are the source of his strength. We confess that Jesus Christ has been made wisdom for President Bush, for that is what Your Word tells us.. Thank You that he is Your workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works. Father, grant him a knowledge of Your presence as he prays to you each morning. Provide him everything he needs for the day that lies ahead. Thank You for giving him the courage to face down evil. We know that because our President honors and fears You, Your angels encamp around about him, and You deliver him. Blessed is the Name of the Lord.

Father, we pray for all those in the military, especially those on foreign soil, that Your strength and courage would dwell in them through the power of the Holy Spirit. Let Your shield of protection cover them, and may their families remain strong in Your might as they wait for them. Father, we pray for You to hasten the glorious day when our soldiers are home and Iraq is functioning independently as a free nation.

Please bless America, Lord. We love this nation, founded on Your truths and established in Your love. Stand beside us and guide us, Father, that we may be a country that puts no other gods before You. In the name of Jesus Christ, our King, Amen.

Dear Jesus, we ask that you intercede for us to God, your Father, in our prayers. Please protect the soldiers fighting against terrorism, please allow your angels with the help of St. Michael to prevent further harm on our brave soldiers. We pray for the wisdom and patience and calm and understanding that the president needs to help him protect our nation and to honor you. May the president always do your will and may you give us the strength to follow your will as well.

Please help this nation as we enter an election year--may the truth come out and may our nation vote for your honor and glory.

We acknowledge that Jesus is the name above all names and stand in awe at the very sound of it. Lord God, incline your ear toward our prayers for your servant, George W. Bush and grant that your Holy Spirit be poured on him and this nation as never before. The days are dark and evil abounds. The enemy is as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. But you, Almighty God are far greater in us than he who is in the world. I pray that your Spirit would call many to pray as this battle for our nation can only be fought and won in the spiritual realm. Surround our president, Lord, with your mightiest of angels and keep him safe from the enemy who so hates what he stands for.
Continue to give Mr. Bush boldness that the name of Jesus would be glorified.
And Father God, cover all of our military especially in dangerous places, with your Holy Presence. Be their strength when they feel weak, their comfort when they feel lonely, their Mighty Warrior who goes before them. Let none be lost, Merciful God, lest they know the saving grace of Jesus first. May your very hand of peace lay upon all the families of these valiant men and women. In the most precious name of Jesus we pray. . .
