Lord Heavenly Father, maker of heaven and earth, we come humbly before you, knowing that you hear our every prayer. We acknowledge that Jesus is the name above all names and stand in awe at the very sound of it. Lord God, incline your ear toward our prayers for your servant, George W. Bush and grant that your Holy Spirit be poured on him and this nation as never before. The days are dark and evil abounds. The enemy is as a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. But you, Almighty God are far greater in us than he who is in the world. I pray that your Spirit would call many to pray as this battle for our nation can only be fought and won in the spiritual realm. Surround our president, Lord, with your mightiest of angels and keep him safe from the enemy who so hates what he stands for.
Continue to give Mr. Bush boldness that the name of Jesus would be glorified.
And Father God, cover all of our military especially in dangerous places, with your Holy Presence. Be their strength when they feel weak, their comfort when they feel lonely, their Mighty Warrior who goes before them. Let none be lost, Merciful God, lest they know the saving grace of Jesus first. May your very hand of peace lay upon all the families of these valiant men and women. In the most precious name of Jesus we pray. . .
