Well before my time but my father-in-law was a fortran programmer for NASA back then and worked in the apollo programs. He was a cool guy. We hit it off quite well and I miss him to this day. He still programmed for years and created a hazardous waste management program about 6 or 7 years ago for the Army that is still in use to this day. He used clipper then and was very sophisticated. He hated object oriented programming because he couldn't map the functions within the objects or reprogram most of them to make them more efficient.
