CINCINNATI -- A woman was indicted on charges she stabbed her husband to death as he slept in bed, dressed his body and propped it up in a chair.
Investigators said Faye Harriel, 32, waited 12 hours before calling paramedics to say that her husband, Gregory Roaden, 41, wasn't breathing. Prosecutors said the bedroom and the body were cleaned with bleach.
A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Harriel on charges of aggravated murder and murder on Monday. If convicted, she could be sentenced to prison for life.
"It's one of the strangest cases we've seen," county Prosecutor Mike Allen said.
The motive for the Jan. 16 killing is not known, Allen said.
Harriel obtained a temporary restraining order against Roaden in 2001 after he was arrested on a charge of domestic violence, according to court records. The domestic violence charge was dismissed.
Neighbors told police they heard the couple arguing Jan. 15, and later saw Roaden sitting on the front porch of his Cincinnati home with scratches on his face.
Roaden repeatedly was stabbed with a steak knife about 1 a.m., police Capt. Vince Demasi said.

Well, apparently she was aggravated and murdered her husband once. When interviewed, the husband indicated that once was quite enough.

They expect us to believe he slept through all that?I think this woman is innocent. The police had better start looking for a man with one arm.

... grand jury indicted Harriel on charges of aggravated murder and murder on Monday
Wow, I didn't realize there is a special crime for killing someone on Monday. Maybe they figure that since it is Monday, you are almost justified, therefore you get a reduced sentence. Something to think about the next time you plan a murder. ;-)

"... grand jury indicted Harriel on charges of aggravated murder and murder on Monday." Yuppers, that's TWO charges:
1. Aggravated murder and
2. Murder on Monday.
Hospitals have reported for years that Monday is the deadliest day, so apparently they've passed a law that makes it Special Circumstances to "murder on Monday."
That, or the AP is hiring writers right out of sixth grade these days. I tend to believe the latter.
