Well, the staunch McClintok supporters have every right to stick it in the AS supporter's face. The real evidence has come in.

With all this pandering he should be a top candidate for the Bush administration.

Why? They are both on the same page with illegal aliens.

No one that supported this liberal -- including Sean Hannity -- can't say they weren't warned by dozens of people here that this was going to happen. I'm just shocked Schwartenkennedy sold out so quickly.

What lost opportunity because so many sold out their conservative beliefs and supported this liberal when a real conservative like McClintock could have won.

And, certain people wonder why liberalism keeps advancing -- it's because we have conservatives that vote for and support liberal Republicans and turn a blind eye when politicians like Bush advance a socialist, big government agenda.

Maybe the Prop187 and save our license people should team up and help eachother get signatures for their referendums?

The prez wants to outlaw any form of the word "illegal" in his immigration policy. Many states have opened up the taxpayers wallets to give illegals resident tuition at public universities and colleges. FL and CA want to give illegals drivers license. More states will follow. No one from the prez on down understands the word "illegal" means criminals and should be deported. All these belly-aching politicians want to get on the highest peak and yell to all the criminals "come one come all".

At least Hastert and Sensenbrenner said the Bush Amnesty won't pass.

In Arnold's case, there is nobody in the State Legislature that can stop him.

Probably all these groups will get together now. One way or another illegals will not get licenses, I can't believe Arnold would be so naive to think otherwise.

"I can't believe Arnold would be so naive to think otherwise."

I'm surprised too.

The licenses would look identical to those of other residents.

This is the part of the bill I can't abide. I could live with the rest.

There are immigrants of all colors coming into the country, and latinos who are US citizens - how to tell illegals from legals from citizens? From a LEO standpoint, a legal DL is de facto proof of citizenship - or at least it used to be.

So how does the cop on the beat tell who belongs in the US and who doesn't? Since this ID could be obtained by illegals, look for a push for a biometric national ID for everyone. That doesn't appeal to me.

Looks like the McClintock people were right

From my perspective the argument is better framed as conservatives philosophy versus Republican loyalty.

Republican pragmatists buy in large supported Schwarzenegger while conservatives who placed philosophy above party loyalty buy in large supported McClintock. So the comment should read

Looks like the determined conservatives were right

The real evidence has come in.

Unfortunately, I believe it has only just begun.
It is going to be a long 3 years.

I figured Arnold would be so busy trying to save the State from fiscal ruin that he wouldn't have time to bring up this divisive issue.

But I was wrong - I guess RINOnegger had more important things to worry about than keeping the State from bankruptcy.

Your intellectual honesty about all of that is as rare as it is appreciated. Thanks.

Get those petitions ready for SB 1160.

We can put new recall petitions on the back side.
