Good post as usual.
I did read a short article where al-Douri is encouraging Bathists to join the ICDC, so I'm hoping these guys are reviewed carefully before being allowed to join.

Looks like the Iraqis are really taking this seriously. I heard they love the respect they get.

thanks for posting my photos -
yes the ICDC are becoming very proud of what they do, from what i have seen it may be the first time some of these people have had national pride like this - they take the training very seriously and they do train hard.
on a different note, if you would like to see some of my personal (non political) photos you can browse around my journal site, you might have to scroll back a few pages to see them all , but they are located at www.xanga.com/tat2jay
thanks again

Sgt. Harris, it's an honor.
Thanks for stopping by, and for sharing your blog address.
Great Everlast lyrics (good luck with your bass dreams).
Thanks for being an optimist in the middle of that suffering nation, and for knowing what that means to the people.
Here's hoping a few eyes are opened on the 'comfy, complaining, complacent' homefront as the result of your example, and that of so many of our awesome volunteers in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Thank you for this:
imagine your only source of drinking water is from a spring
that is so poisoned with sulfer that you can smell it from
almost half a mile away. that the food you eat is from the
few animals that you raise that are themselves starved and
sometimes diseased. that the clothes you wear are handed
down and you have no idea how many people wore them
before you did, in fact, you have never owned any new
article of clothing.and you can still find a reason to smile
Thank you.
You have mail.
