I just don't get what's going on here, and no one is explaining it.

The answer is simple if you look at what the voters claim as their major issues going into the election. Healthcare, education, social security/Medicare and jobs. All issues that prove this country is not in the least interested in spending less money. In every one of those issues democrats hold an edge because they have promised to spend more. Why in the world anyone thinks that a red-meat conservative agenda stands a chance is beyond all logical explanation.

Contract with America, read it, it is in this thread somewhere and it is what brought the GOP into power.

So if you can't beat them, join them?

Since the "conservative agenda" dosen't stand a chance, then we should all just accept that, and pursue unconstitutional liberal agendas.

Not only the POTUS and every Congressman takes an oath to "preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States", but so do voters when they sign their name on the voters registration form. The problem is that most voters are so uneducated about the Constutiton, that they don't know how to "preserve, protect and defend" it.
