I intend to keep doing the cinnamon thing and hope that my next A1C remains good.

What are you using, regular ground cinnamon that you buy at the grocery store? I'm borderline Type II, with high TGs , and I've been taking Avandia since November 2002. I'm trying to lose weight via Atkins, and I'd sure like to get off the Avandia if possible, since I'm convinced that my weight loss would come much easier.

I've been doing a modified Atkins for 9 months now. I've steadily lost weight. I mainly focus on limiting my carbohydrates, but I have days where I relax my restrictions some. I just try to be low carb about 95% of the time.

I have been finding some wonderful low carb products. There is a chocolate milk called Carb Countdown that is really good. It satisfies that chocolate craving I sometimes get.

I had bad side effects with Avandia, but glucophage is really helping -- 2 a day. My doctor told me that glucophage is used in weight reduction diets in Europe, but not approved for that here. Oddly, it does tend to make you feel like eating less.

I usually don't butt in but have you ever heard of Oxycise and there is another exercise program that is mostly breathing but I know 3 people who are doing that and I can't believe the weight they are losing. For Oxycise, you can do it in the car as you drive or do a routine, it is amazing and NO, I don't have any interest in it, I'm just amazed at what it has done for my friends.
