I wouldn't mind voting for him in 2008 either!

With Tom DeLay as VP maybe.

You know, I'm actually quite a big fan of some Texas politicians. Surprising, I hadn't quite realized that I had such a soft spot for Texas politicians.

And Ron Paul is from Texas. Another favorite. How did I let them sneak up on me like this?

I guess there's worse things. </Yankee drawl>

You would love Texas! Here in Oklahoma only because Clinton and the BRAC closed Kelly AFB, TX. I lived in the only Republican County in Texas that refused to vote for LBJ and democRATs could only get on the ballot if Republicans signed th eir petition.

Love Tom DeLay! Lamar Smith, who was my Congressman, used to win with over 70% of the vote and more in a district that went from the beginning of the Texas Hill Country where I lived to southeast of the El Paso area at one time. He was conservative and so well-liked by Republicans that they gave him a district of almost all Republicans and put us all together during the time I lived in Texas. He was the original something needs to be done about Immigration person in the House years ago.

BTW, I was born and raised in Ohio (Yankee territory) but been south and west of the Mississippi for years except for a nine-months in MA during 1986 when my kid's Dad was on an Education with Industry assignment for the AF. Talk about a cultural shock -- MA was it!
