Karl Rove is actively trying to find a Republican to run against Tancredo because Tancredo opposes any amnesty or coddling of illgals.
There's your first example.

That is a lie! Quit blaming Karl Rove for everything. Cong Tancredo supports Pres Bush on about every issue except Immigration!

I expect it'll be against pretty much all
The Liberty Caucus. Notice how all the strongest anti-illegals congressmen are on that list? Just look at that list and think about it.
Certainly not the first time Rove has used this tactic. Anyone who's observed him should be expecting it. But I'm not sure he can make it fly. Hastert and DeLay are, um, let's say, a little more clever than that.

Karl Rove is actively trying to find a Republican to run against Tancredo because Tancredo opposes any amnesty or coddling of illgals Any article to support that? I did a search and found the "scolding" from Rove, that Tancredo reneged on a self-imposed term limit promise (shame on him, lying like that), and a columnist at polstate.com that thinks the challenger might be State Treasurer Mike Coffman who, from Rocky Mountain News, walked out of a pro-war rally rather than be on stage with Tancredo:
The walkout by Coffman, a former Marine and Gulf War I veteran, was a protest against the fact that Tancredo avoided service in Vietnam by obtaining a medical deferment for mental health reasons.
The article then mentions that:
Coffman was expected to succeed Tancredo as representative for the Sixth District in 2004 and that Coffman sharply criticized Tancredo for announcing he would break that pledge.
Sounds like Tancredo broke two promises - not to seek another term and to have Coffman be his successor (picking a successor is fairly common in districts).
So....a "loose-cannon," draft dodger, who breaks some big promises...and people are pushing for him as President?
Maybe the bias of the columnist but I didn't see anything positive outside of the pro-Tancredo blogs.
