Some laws are there to protect citizens from each other and from the state. The ones that you listed are criminal behaviors from one person to another. Drug use doesn't harm anyone else. Sure, if you are high on crack and kill someone, you should go to jail. But drug use by itself doesn't harm anyone else. If I choose to do drugs in my own privacy without harming others, it is not a criminal behavior. The only reason drugs are illegal is to extend the power of the state over individual privacy. The only people who want to see drugs to be illegal are politicians and terrorists.

That is an ignorant statement if I've ever read one! Drugs devastate the families of those who abuse the drugs -- usually more so than they do the drug abuser!

Utter nonsense. And perhaps the most ridiculous statement that I've read of yours (and there are many others ranking right up there).

Tell that to the families of those who's lives are ruined. Tell it to their children, spouses, parents, siblings. What about the BILLIONS of dollars lost to our productivity and economy through drug and alcohol use every year? Tell it to the guys employer.

Make that remark to somebody who works at a treatment center and has seen the devastating effects of addiciton. Tell it to an ER nurse who sees the innocent slaughter wheeled through the door from those driving under the influence, and yes FirstPrinciple, many people DO end up making poor choices like driving while under substance influence. Your idea that all people maintain "responsibiltiy" while doing drugs is total fantasy. In fact you might be interested in this article about the costs of the substance that is legal today...alcohol. And you think this dynamic doesn't also apply to other illegal drugs? What tripe!

I have no respect for anything else you have to say. This and other statements you make shows a clear disregard for the good of an entire society and a disconnect with reality.
