You cannot look at crime by fiat, in any country. Certain things are legal here and illegal there like possession of handguns, and vice versa. The only valid statistic is violent crime. And it is way less in Amsterdam.

Masturbatory? Hmmm..this after all the Bushibans engage in circle jerks to prop their candidate?
To: afraidfortherepublic
You mean since Keyes was principled and wasn't going to play politics, he wasn't elected. Yes I agree. Most politicians (including Bush) stick their nose out and smell the air and then make decisions. Sort of disingenous.

Are all you wackos off your meds? Is there a full moon or something?

From the website Conservatives Against Bush:
Non-Imperialist Foreign Policy -- Conservatives Against Bush seeks an end to the Neoconservatives (read: imperialists) in the Defense Department and the Vice President's office control over U.S. foreign policy. Conservatives Against Bush hopes to return the foreign policy reigns back to the Secretary of State and his State Department.
IV. Civil Liberties -- Conservatives Against Bush is awfully rankled by the Ashcroftonian erosion of our civil liberties. We oppose the designation of U.S. citizens as "unlawful combatants," and the indefinite detention of any person arrested within the United States. We are also troubled by a Justice Department engaged in the War on Terrorism that still finds time to foist its morality on the public by pressuring Hollywood.
Anyone care to tell me what type of conservatism this represents? How many conservatiaves on here want foreign policy only in the State Department or talk about foist its morality on the public by pressuring Hollywod? Does it sound like a conservative site to you all or a site pretending to be conservative?

It may be : A)Disinformation from the Left B)Genuine Unappeasable "conservatives" attempting to punish the rest of us. C)A new home for the above mentioned to mark time before entering the Democrat populist gulag. D)All of the above.

Defense is highly important to me too. But the totality of his domestic agenda is in my humble opinion so odious that with the massive increase in spending and the threat to our economic security of the shamnesty it out weighs his good point.

They give themselves away when they advocate the return to the rat infested State Dept. It is to bad that President Bush cannot authorize a wholesale purge of these career apologists and appeasers.
To: PhiKapMom
Well, they misspelled "reins" .. they probably don't understand what reins are.Any conservative in love with the State Dept is a snake in the grass,a charlatan, a poseur.

You have not read the articles I have read about the drug problems in those countries. Go read a little and then report back
First, he'd lose his roach clip if he did stop long enough to do real research.Secondly,he might have a problem with multisyllabic words like "the". Thirdly, somewhere between looking this up and responding, he'll be distracted by SpongeBob Squarepants. Fourthly, he'll have to call his buddies at NORML to get the next portion of a response to you.
What was that saying about mud wrestling with a pig?

"Conservatives Against Bush hopes to return the foreign policy reigns back to the Secretary of State and his State Department." Conservatives Against Bush is sort of like the Democratic Republic of Congo (i.e. they ain't).
Anyone who favors the state department over Bush, Cheney, and Rumsfeld is no Conservative.

Kerry, then is a reasonable choice?Believe me ,you are choosing either the dem or the Republican. Please don't say you can't because of principles. You will choose by staying home, not voting for President or voting third party.
I assume you aren't completely devoid of principle and would not vote for a true, certifiable liberal dem. That would be a tantrum, not a vote.
