To think that this Krischer, pulbic servant, man of the law, disregards all sense of ethics and the law and sneaks and lies and exaggerates and plots and schemes to answer a few e-mails because these e-mailers are crying for the blood of Rush and that Krischer has to do something about Rush, why this stinks of evil and one of the worst examples of abuse of power that can be found in our judicial system.
What, this guy Krischer looking for a job with Saddam's fallen minions in hopes of bringing the old demented brutal dictator back on charge of dispensing justice in Iraq? Krischer seems better suited for that than what he is currently being paid for by the citizens of Florida.
Rush is innocent.

Maybe that's what we should rightly call it: a jihad against Rush. Yep -- and the libs are inconsistent, as usual. What a surprise!

Anyone have a good suggestion for a good old conservative charity or non-profit that sending the procedes to from suing this DipSh#t would upset the lefties the most?

Sir, you made two statements regarding to my earlier post.
Your first statement was to me inaccurate as you appear to have missed my main point altogether. I was not making an argument in favor of illegal drug availability. I WAS commenting on the ongoing failure of the medical community to adequately manage (patients') pain, citing my experience as analogous to Rush's.
Your second statement was an equally uninformative and utterly useless ad hominum attack which contributed absolutely nothing to the discussion -- although it may have made your ego feel better at the time.
Thus far, you have succeeded in convincing me that you are a fairly inarticulate, ignorant, and presumptive jackass. Have a nice day.

Interesting point, and not the least bit surprising. Most folks desire relief from pain when they need it, not drug addiction. It's a no-brainer.

Have you read any of Steve Martini's wonderful books about the criminal justice system? Plenty of nasty stuff revealed. Realistic fiction with real-deal verisimilitude.

It sounds as though your problem is that your education has all been from the TV. Heh heh. Your following points were spot on. Hopefully MDLM's education continues to provide sufficient income to feed his dog, else his tag name might have to change to My Dog Hates Me. LOL!

I have no direct personal knowledge or information of this case, but my theory is that the thing has become "personal." If someone has tried to muck about in this to "help" Rush, it may have stirred up some people who have real power. Rush might not have even known about the attempt to "help" him.

We agree. The "pain management system" in the medical community is disfunctional, and some folks (like Rush) are capable of doing an end run around the system. Your wife's case is representative of the problem. Dr's are more focused on the government playbook than their own contact with their patients. Good that she recovered (as did I). I have tried a number of times on this thread to explain that if the medical community effectively managed pain cases like Rush's would not have come about. He needed pain management. He was not purusing narcotic euphoria (as far as I have learned). There is a substantial difference.

When people are allowed to medicate themselves, they will be less likely to overdose. I beleive the conclusion of the study was that if patients were left IN CONTROL of their medication, they could manage their affairs more effectively than Doctors could. This sounds vaugely familiar. Something about WE THE PEOPLE...

Agreed. But IMO they are comparing "normal folks" to addicts. Most normal folks want to heal and get on with their lives, not sit in bed pumped with neuro-supressive drugs. The studies that have been conducted in this area, and/or the subsequent mytholgogy have been IMO deeply flawed.

If it was me or you, we would have already experienced life in an orange jumpsuit, been perp-walked, and released from county jail, pending a court date. That's not true. What you been reading???? NO ONE PERSON has ever been charged with a crime in this situation. Usually it's the person who sell's the stuff, not the person using the stuff. The maid and her husband usually go to jail, for being the pushers. Come on!!!! You're awfully harsh on Rush, a person that did nothing wrong but take too many PRESCRIPTION pills. If we arrest everyone who does that the jails would be overflowing with your parents my parents and everyone else's parents.

I've never had any serious pain, other than a couple of dislocated shoulders, cracked ribs, etc. I know that in the last ten years the amount of pain medication doctors prescribe has gone down drastically. When I dislocated my shoulder the first time, Tylenol 3 was prescribed. The last time, he just recommended over the counter. A friend of mine is dying from prostate cancer, and he's on Oxycontin and Demerol. He's still in constant pain, but they don't want to up his dosage. He's going to be worm chow in six months, so what difference does it make if he's addicted? When he was in the hospital, they had him on a timed morphine release. He said he hated it, because he had to watch the clock to push the release button at six minutes.
They made my father-in-law quit smoking at age 86, in the nursing home.
When I was a kid, I was ambivalent about the war on drugs because I was a pothead. I don't even drink anymore, and now I wonder if the cost of saving society from itself is worth it.
It's hard to make a case for legalizing drugs because most people want drugs illegal, and most people arguing for legalization are people like Woody Harrelson, who has serious credibility problems with the straight people you'd have to convince. I also think most people fear letting the genie out of the bottle. OTOH, I think it's become obvious that there are so many laws that at any given time any of us could be put in jail for something, and in this situation, there is no option but selective enforcement. Limbaugh is obviously being targeted, as there is no way the DA's office has the time and manpower to pursue a non-dealer with this much vigor on a regular basis.
Palm Beach County has nearly 200 crimes against persons and property daily (72,000 annual murder, rape, burglary, auto theft, aggravated assault, etc) before they even get to vice crimes (prostitution, drugs, dealing, gambling), traffic accidents and violations. Yet the DA's office has pursued Limbaugh for months, dropping one investigation for money-landering, another for illegal purchasing, and is finally pursuing doctor shopping. The DA knows Limbaugh is guilty, they just haven't figured out what crime he's committed.

If it was me, I see myself on local news wearing an orange jumpsuit in a perp walk, chained to real hardcore criminals, climbing out of a Paddy wagon on the way to court to answer to my "illegal possession of prescription medication" charge. "I know the truth! Don't confuse me with the facts."
Since you have been given many facts to prove you are wrong, I challenge you to back up that statement with some evidence. Don't worry, I won't be holding my breath.
What has this rich man done for you?
Well if you were conservative and not class-envious, you'd know Rush has spread the conservative message far and wide across this great land.
To: CyberAnt
It's not a theory, it's the definition of the process. You don't have to take my word for it, look up how it works.
