In fairness to me, I can't be expected to pay up 2 years from now if someone jumps up and says -- there, I told you we had him the whole time!!

The legitimate offer I made was based on my hope that the info was correct, but my belief that it was not. It was a risk, because I damn sure would have paid. Now that the 72 hours has passed (I picked that time because I do not believe the U.S. could contain or would contain the secret any longer than that), I would need to see some proof that the original information was correct. That surely does not seem unreasonable.

I think that is Sean's safety clause.

I recently read a senator(?) saying that OBL will be captured by November. I believe him. So, based on this news I could make the same assertion as Sean is making - ie, OBL has been captured. It really doesn't matter when he was captured as the government will never officially acknowledge the capture date. And, when OBL is captured, I can then say: "See I told he had been captured."
