Are they sure they were video-taping & not watching a movie through the playback feature? I've heard of some with small children doing this to keep the kids pacified during flights. It's cheaper than buying a portable DVD player if you already have the camcorder

Are they sure they were video-taping & not watching a movie through the playback feature? I haven't flown since 911, but before that my husband and I went to England on the Concorde. We video taped everything. The pilots invited the passengers to tour the cockpit and we even video taped that. I would think things have changed since 911, but perhaps not.
