Well that sounds like a mini attempt to disrupt our power. Probably a wanna be jihadist thankfully with not enough brains to carry out his mission. But what an odd way to set up a pipe bomb, on top of an engine block?? That would just add many metal shards and pieces to an explosion against a very strong metal tower. If these are the towers I think they are they are huge and very strong.

Don't forget the man who was taking the bolts out of the same towers last fall.

He had a web site and it was full of Palestine promotion.

He was played us as militia, not called a terrorist.

He was arrested during the Calif. fires as I recall and it was thought that he had done so in California, Oregon and his home state of Washington.

It was in the Sacramento Bee, I think, I remember sending it to friends in Calif.

The motor block would possibly explode and send schrapnel (sp?) into the tower and weaken it.

Some of it was planned so the tower would be weakened and the wind would cause it to collapse.

Yes, the pipe bomb itself didn't catch my attention to this article, in fact I almost didn't post a link to it. But the snippet I provided to the article is the verbiage that did catch my attention.

Pardon the expression, but someone was trying to get the most bang for his buck and maximize the potetial damage. I hope whoever did this is caught sooner than soon.
