ARTICLE SNIPPET: "The online magazine 'The Voice of Jihad,' which is published by Al-Qa'ida members in Saudi Arabia and describes itself as a "biweekly dealing with Jihad and the Mujahideen in the Arabian Peninsula," devoted its ninth issue to two main subjects: Osama bin Laden's most recent speech, excerpts of which were broadcast on Al-Jazeera television, and the ongoing debate in Al-Qa'ida over attacks in Saudi Arabia. Hi! I should have put the source on the excerpt. Thank you. Some points of interest from the article: 1.) it sounds like AQ is planning for what we will do after we are attacked, and they are anticipating that we will go into SA and other ME countries to secure the oil. For them to be discussing our response to their (not yet launched) attack, is chilling. To me, it goes along with their "apologies" for the harm they are going to do to the world with the attack. In short, it seems like they are certain of success!

2.) The video of the attacks in SA is in the possession of a newsgroup there.

I am becoming increasingly anxious about what the remainder of this month may hold. Also, on one of Daleel's latest rants, he responds to a person who has been arguing with him on the IH site, that after the attack, the person will be blind. Maybe it is just my anxiety, but don't nuke detonations, as well as searing chemicals, cause blindness?

"Two senior Taliban officials arrested"

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Pakistani authorities have arrested two senior officials from Afghanistan's deposed Taliban regime, reported CNN.

One of the arrested is believed to know the whereabouts of the elusive Taliban leader Mullah Mohammed Omar. Pakistani intelligence sources said the two officials were captured in western Pakistan near the Afghan border.

One was identified as Maulvi Abdul Mannan, governor of Badghais province under the Taliban. CNN reported he was close to Omar, whom the United States has been seeking since it toppled the regime three months after the al-Qaida terrorist network carried out the attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

The other person arrested was identified as Najeeb Ullaha, a Taliban military commander."
