I'm back from visiting my kidlets. I swear I'll never go far again - it's waaaaaay too long reading all these posts to catch up. Lucky for me there's deli food and TV dinners for days like this! Scarey reading, but it certainly makes one think about the possibilities and live our lives accordingly. For definite sure I will plant a large family garden this spring (chemicals-free).

I agree with you about the Russian connection. The Pacific Northwest is filled with Russian immigrants. They are already here, as well as our friends from the ME. Our borders are sooooooo very open. It's hard to sleep when you know that jobs in this country that should be top secret and only filled by an elite class of patriotic citizens are in the hands of foreign infidels who would slay us.

Darn. Now that the Haj is over, I think we missed a great opportunity. We could have established an Internet site or two, pose as The Crusade for the New Millenium, and put out some medieval-sounding mumbo-jumbo about how we're going to 'nuke Mecca' while all the pilgrims are there... like maybe when 'it's the time of the season,' and 'the white room has black curtains,' and we're all 'in a Gadda da Vida' (baby). We'd scare the s-h-i-q out of 'em!

Oh well. next year.

Well, I see that a few things have happened around here since the warning period have passed. First, it seems like most of the regular posters are taking a break. Which is a good thing because I think we all need to take a deep breath after dealing with these threats. Second, it seems like the naysayers are starting to come out of the woodwork to have a few laughs at some people's expense. I guess that's OK...I would rather be laughed at than to have one of our cities nuked. I don't regret one thing that was said here, and I commend everyone who put in work towards this thread. It is human nature that most people would rather ridicule or deny such possibilities than face the awful chance that it could be true. This is one thing I have learned in life, and I know it will never change.

From your link, Cindy: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1071811/posts

"WASHINGTON (AP) -- Investigators are trying to determine if a mysterious "Fallen Angel" who sent two threatening letters containing ricin last fall is responsible for the deadly poison that turned up in the Senate this week.

The earlier typewritten letters addressed to the White House and Transportation Department warned that more ricin would be used unless new federal trucking regulations were scrapped. The change in 60-year-old rules governing how often truck drivers must rest went into effect January 4. "

====

The question is raised, whether the above trucker may be responsible for the ricin sent to the White House in Dec. & to the Senate a few days ago.

I have two points to make here:

It could be "domestic terrorism" -- maybe, but what bothers me, is that the ricin sent to the White House was in liquid form and the one sent to the Senate was in powder form, I haven't been able to find out and nobody said, how difficult it is to convert it to powder form. The UN inspectors found Saddam having 10 liters (1 Quart is 0.9 liters, if I remember it correctly)of ricin, so it must have been in liquid form.

The other point -- well, there were a number of articles that talked about terrorists getting trucking licenses here in the US. AQ wants to take credit on one hand, but on the other hand, they may want to test things in a way that we wouldn't suspect them, and after reading all about the FBI blaming the anthrax attacks on domestic terrorism, they may get the idea to set things up, to make things look like domestic terror -- with that "fallen angel" letter, while they are getting ready for the big attack. Just a thought, which may or may not have merit.

Here is just one article about potential terrorists getting/having trucking licenses.

More men arrested in hazardous license probe
September 27, 2001 Posted: 9:09 PM EDT (0109 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Federal agents arrested eight more Middle Eastern men Thursday and charged them with fraudulently obtaining trucking licenses that allow them to transport hazardous materials.

The arrests in Pennsylvania, Texas and Michigan brought to 18 the number of men arrested in the past two days.

Just because an attack didn't succeed -- thank God -- that doesn't mean it wasn't imminent and successfully foiled.

Speaking of interest in trucks... there was the case of the Ohio trucker Faris. (See FR keyword links OHIOTRUCKER, TRUCKPLOTS)

Also, KSM [Khalid Sheikh Mohammed] was interested in trucks.

He is associated with a Majid Khan, also interested in trucks and hazardous materials. He also owns gas stations.

Sorry, I'm a little confused with all of the negatives in your sentence...plus I'm a little tired. LOL

If I'm reading you right, then I agree! (I almost disagreed until I re-read it, LOL)

Well said cabal! I have said earlier, as many others, that the attack will happen when we least expect it. EOM/Daleel is an chat-room terrorist and a successful little punk for attracting as much attention as he/she did.

Yeah, I'm sure I'm not the only one that would like to stomp his(?) ass into the ground.

BTW, kudos to you for taking an undeserved punishment and coming back to contribute again. Yes, there are some forbidden topic/authors on FR. :)
