I did not watch the whole half time show, but did kid rock desecrat the flag and stick his head through it. I read that somewhere.

No, it doesn't. The jihadis have to act on their timetable, or they will lose all credibility. They may welll NOT succeed, but it seems that they have so many different plans in the works, something could very well get through.
Personally, I'm travelling to see my family in Connecticut (only about 50 minutes outside of NYC) tommorrow. Parents are in their 80's, still in their own home, and having trouble dealing with the cold. I usually go there whenever a storm is brewing, or soon after, to clear off snow, ice, make sure they have plenty of groceries, etc.
The plan is to go from PA to Penn Station, then walk over to Grand Central and take a local out to their town, (near Long Island Sound.) Left after visiting them on 9/10/01. The next day my Dad called me and said that they could see the smoke rising from the Twin Towers. They lost many good neighbors and friends in 9/11.
I've been feeling very anxious about going tommorrow, all things considered, but am also becoming increasingly angry that I would allow my fear to delay my trip. I would hate to think of them being alone, if anything happened.
So please offer prayers for them. I'm going!

maybe you should drive, at least you won't have to be in Manhattan proper.

Are paint guns cheaper or more quiet? In general, yes, and their use has been considered by terrorists and criminals in the past. But I think that once the projectile leaves the barrel it is no secret and might as well make a bang. One thing that would work in favor of the paint gun as a stealth weapon is that it would be easier to make one without metal parts to pass a metal detector. But the CO2 tank would have to be made out of a high-tech material to do so.

True! I guess I could skirt around NJ almost entirely....The last time I drove back from CT, I couldn't help but notice all the "infrastructure" right along the turnpike- Newark Area, Jersey City, etc. A terrorist could have a field day there. Power plants, storage tanks, Chemicals of all kinds.

I said the same thing to my wife. What a display..I could imagine a couple of "jihadists" turning to each other somewhere in the ME and one saying to the other "see? The Americans worship the evil one. They have no love for Allah.." blah, blah. Talk about crap.
Shows how far as a culture we've gone "totally off the map".
(Either that, or I'm getting old and out of touch with what is "cool).

Click Here"My favorite part is when Kid Rock rips the American flag he's wearing off and tosses it on the ground, mere seconds before singing "I'm proud to be livin' in the USA". LOL...there's a bit of irony...."

Steve Quayle has a hit rate of ohhhhh, about .00000001%.
I've watched his site for quite a while now. ZERO that he has predicted has happened. (Darn. Now I need to edit the line above).
Nice tie in about the barometric "triggers", tho.
He must've read this thread about the balloons.

Some of the previous threats made reference to the fact that long island could never be evacuated. Take Care.

Why don't you take the Tappanzee and avoid NYC. Stay safe. I visited with a friend this weekend and tried to persuade her not to go to her job in NYC tomorrow....just to be safe.

Yes and we get judged by that swill that's on TV.
To: jstolzen
That is not cool. It's just what you said it is.

That half time thing was soooo disgusting Yeah, I guess my idea of proper cultural practices would be somewhere between the Moslems' and tonight's CBS halftime show. Clearly the Hollywood porn lobby produced tonight's half-time entertainment.
