I am glad you remembered all the cities. I heard the same report on FoxNews, but missed the last two.

Carnegie Mellon students become ill
Friday, January 30, 2004
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
Twenty-nine people at Carnegie Mellon University have an intestinal illness that causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramps, the Allegheny County Health Department said yesterday.
The sick -- 28 students and one employee -- developed symptoms early yesterday morning and sought care at UPMC Presbyterian and CMU's student health center. No one is seriously ill or has been admitted to the hospital, said Health Department spokesman Guillermo Cole.
"We don't know the source or the cause," he said. "We don't know if it's food or something else, something that might have been spread from person to person. It would be premature to say."

It got fixed - after I left watch...(grr)
Now, I'm at home on two days off, and I'm just keeping tabs on things while at home.
My boss and I are doing 2-on/2-off to pace ourselves.

I don't think FoxNews reports incorrect things about terror attacks for rating. I do think they may get the heads up earlier sometimes. But the same news about more flights to be canceled, etc. is being reported elsewhere now, but I heard it first on Fox.
NYTimes
The suspicions concerning a new Qaeda plot came from a re-examination of the information developed in December and early January, as well as new intelligence developed through informers and other sources, officials said. And the intelligence pointed to an increased risk involving the Air France and British Airways flights to the United States on Sunday and Monday, although there was nothing on the passenger lists on those flights to arouse concerns, officials said.
American officials said they were also concerned about a flight flown by a United States carrier out of Europe, but they would not disclose the flight in question and it was not immediately canceled. They said extra security measures were being taken.
Separately, domestic security officials are also planning high levels of security, including air patrols, for the Super Bowl on Sunday in Houston. But officials said they have no specific indications of threats to the event.

Personally I find it hard to believe that they would use commercial flights to carry such a device. Why risk that when they can use a small aircraft. Could do both - simultaneously. Use the big plane like 9/11 and the smaller plane(s) for bio or rad attacks.

Just a thought...maybe it isn't the Super Bowl itself that is the target but rather the broadcast timeframe when millions of people worldwide are tuned in. Any breaking news that was covered would have a huge and rapt audience.

"though why a NEST team couldn't find it I have no idea...."
If it was enclosed in lead lining somehow that would make it harder to find and if that was placed deep inside by the mechanics and not in the cargo area or seating areas it would make it difficult too. The person trying to do this probably would try and make it look like an integral part somehow... maybe even in plumbing....false bottom of a sink etc.

Interesting thought.

Remember with the WTC there was a routine plumber or electrician who had set up some charges. If this slides through it could be by someone with a regular routine, a familiar face in airline maintenance.

The Superbowl as a target seems too obvious. Why risk failure on an event that will have super tight security. If there is going to be an attack, then Monday and Tuesday seem more likely than Sunday, when most people are at home.
