While any instance of pedophilia is unacceptable, the credibly accused make up less than 0.1% of the priests in this country. To repeat, any instance is unacceptable, but your perception is colored by an active liberal campaign to discredit the most pro-life, anti-homosexual, pro-private schooling, pro-private charity organization on the planet.

Good point, it's a complicated problem indeed.
The Church is also a "hospital for sinners". A hospital can not just get rid of all the patients and declairs itself to be "clear, healthy and free of illness". In fairness, the church does reprimend the pedophiled and queer priests only maybe not to the extents as you and I expected. Saving souls wherever possible is still the primary goal and we may disagree the methods of implementation.
