LETTER: Bush Took My Job, Killed My Sons
Posted on 01/24/2004 8:17:13 PM PST by decimalsanddollars
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak my mind. I lost my job this past year. When Clinton was president I was secure and prosperous, but in the last year, we had to close our operations. We simply could not compete with foreign labor. This foreign labor worked for low pay under very bad conditions. They worked very long shifts, and many even died on the job. This competition could hardly be called "fair." I was forced out of the place where I had worked for 34 years. Not a single government program was there to help me. How can Bush call himself "compassionate?" Far worse, I lost two of my sons in Bush's evil war in Iraq. They gave their lives for their country, and for what? So that Bush's oil buddies can get rich. My pain of losing my sons is indescribable. While it is trivial next to the loss of my sons, I regret to say that I also lost my home. I simply have nothing left. How can Bush call himself a Christian when he neglects people like me? I am a senior citizen with various medical problems. I'm not in a position where I can begin a new career. I was reduced to the point where I had to live in a hole in a ground, all because of President Bush. And when the authorities found me there, did they have any compassion for my misfortune and ailments? No, I was arrested. Mr. Bush, I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a compassionate man! I dare you to look me in the face and tell me you are a Christian! If I had any money left, I would donate it to the Democrat Party. If Al Gore had been elected in 2000 I would still have a job, a home, and most importantly, my dear sons!
Regards,
Saddam Hussein

The sad thing is, that it could be easily an American father writing this, I almost believed until I reached the part, where I realized it's a (very bad) joke.
Freepers, please let's get real, this war isn't a joke. Young people are dying and we still don't know for what............!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what you mean there where 599 people murdered in the demo rat strong hold of Chicago and I would like to know what they died for, and how come there hasn't been a call to withdraw our troops from there or at least do a regime change.
The same could be said for LA New York Washington DC.
We need to bring our troops home from these cities cause the ware there is lost.
Woe is us woe is us, or leaders can't recognize a lost cause when they see one.

It is time to take a serious look at our involvement there. Every day there are news reports about more deaths. Every night on the TV are photos of death and destruction. Why are we still there? The land is too large to secure all of it. The bad people causing this damage can roam anywhere, and we can't possibly police the whole place. Why are we still there? We occupied this land, which we had to take by force, but it causes us nothing but trouble. Why are we still there? Their government is unstable, and in the process of changing. Why are we still there? Refugees are fleeing by the thousands, driven from their homes. Why are we still there? It will cost billions to rebuild, which we can't afford. Why are we still there? There are more than 1000 religious sects. We can't even secure the borders. Why are we still there? And to repeat. Every day we hear of more Americans killed in this dangerous land. It is clear! We must abandon California

Ha ! Yeah, I saw this on a thread a short while back. I can't remember who it was, but a Freeper actually wrote this and sent it to the DNC website. They were soliciting for folks to give their sob story about Bush's horrible economy, so he wrote this and sent it to them !! haha !

Freepers, please let's get real, this war isn't a joke. Young people are dying and we still don't know for what............!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is sufficient thread material on various threads to indicate the serious care and concern that the "FR" community has for those fighting the war.
This thread is a satirical look at those protesting the war and makes a valid comparison as to motives, real losers in the war and those that view their concerns more elevated than our young people engaged in the risks.
As to that claim that we "still don't know for what", I suggest you back away from the network coverage, turn off the TV and get on the internet and learn what we are fighting for if your comment wasn't purely prompted by grief.
We are fighting for true diplomacy in a world gone stupid. A world that can't deal with a terrorist regime, can't deal with terrorists in general.
The false worries of the media that motives not made paramount will be unproved, is the strawman that they love to knock down. Get real. Read the Bush address to the UN the fall before the invasion. Read it slow and take it to heart.

Yep, I'm the original author. Glad you all liked it, and thanks for the credit.
This is the second time I've written something that's spread on the Internet, and both started on Free Republic. The first was the "72 Virginians" joke. Now, if I can just think up another 20-25 gags like those two, I might have a book on humor related to the war on terror.
But I'll have to pick up my pace of one joke every two years. I guess I could pad the book with stories of my own military experiences. Some people might not think boot camp is funny, but those are people who have never seen O.M.I.W. try to march...
Anyway, thanks again.
