This is a little off subject but I just gotta ask: Why does BASF have all those ads on t.v. that say "We don't make the _____________, we just make it better, brighter or whatever. If they aren't advertising a specific something what does it mean to the consumer? I've never seen a "BASF" for sale or even an item that says "made with BASF". It's got to cost a lot of $$ to advertise, so why do they do it???

And put out the word in investors that BASF AG is the place to invest in manufacturing process innovation.

At BASF, we are not only committed to helping make products better, we are also committed to helping make the communities in which we live and work better as well, said Johnson Pursoo, BASFs site manager in Huntington.

(Just because you did not see it or read it, that does not mean it did or did not happen.)

BASF - is a german chemical company and makes the chemicals and plastics for everything in modern life, like DOW Chemical, and Dupont
You are surrounded by BASF, all around you, you keyboard is made from BASF plastic, your medicine is based on BASF chemicals, your CD is made from BASF plastics, your floor is shiny from BASF, you throw your garbage into BASF based bags, you read through BASF based lenses.
