You just did one of the "let's paint a broad picture here!"
I guess owning a rifle, shotguns, and a handgun doesn't qualify for Right to Bear Arms which I am 100% in agreement. I am also believe that people buying guns should have to have evidence of a safety course completed or go to one before buying the gun. I also don't believe in instant gun purchases where some hothead can go down and get a gun immediately and then shoot their spouse or whoever because they are mad. Don't see why waiting 24 hours matters.
No one will ever convince me that the same assualt weapons our military use should be in the hands of private citizens.
So sue me for my opinion.

I started shooting when I was 7. My father was a Sherrif's Deputy for 27 years of my life. I did six years in the military. I have no criminal record.
But just because you think it is a good idea, I need to sit through a class written for dumbasses for TEN TO TWELVE HOURS and pay upwards of $150 for the class! Above and beyond that, I need to PROVE I'm not a criminal despite our "innocent until proven guilty" legal system.
All to exercise a Right the Founders considered so fundamental to freedom in this country they included protections for it in our Federal Constitution. If you have to ask permission, it isn't a Right.
Be a frightened little rabbit if you want, but never assume that the rest of us are as stupid and evil as you seem to think we are.

We are the land of the free, not the land of the regulated. The sooner the socialist, anti-freedom elite in DC figure this out, the better.
