California heating up?

Posted on 01/21/2004 1:56:19 PM PST by LittleJoe

I live in the Sierras about 100 miles north of Sacramento. The water from my well has turned hot. The county inspector just left. He said he has been inspecting wells in this county for over twenty years and this is the first time he has seen this happen!

Anyone else have water turning hot? This is really weird!

Try Post 130.

If you can get to that webpage, there are a lot of links to other maps and presentations.

Oh, I'm praying for as much time as possible.

I'd prefer to be in Heaven.

But there's so much to do, first.

Oh, and BTW, today is the new moon, so we might expect a fairly good shaker in the next couple days. Can't say where, but somewhere around the Ring of Fire. A 7 or 8

We are considering a move to Boise.

My family lives in Boise. Beautiful city. Beautiful people. ( except of course, those ugly Californians that keep moving up and raising property values.):-)

Guess we need to dispatch someone to check on Little Joe for real. Unless the black Suburban guys took him bye-bye.

The sun has just set in the late great state of California. LittleJoe is missing. Was he taken away to a secret debriefing center after inadvertantly discovering a secret govt project that accidentally burst through his well water system?

Will this thread get pulled and we'll be told it was only a dream? A conspiracy theory?......or conspiracy FACT.

Will LittleJoe come back and sheepishly admit he left his hot tub on too long and caused this problem?

Tune in next week for: California heating up.

This:

Shows almost a continuous string up to Yellowstone through the Las Vegas area.

There's not a straight continuous connection that I've found yet direct from Northern CA to Yellowstone.

Above from:

HERE: http://neic.usgs.gov/neis/general/seismicity/us_west.html

As I look at the map . . . am I imagining, reading too much into it . . . or . . . is there really . . .

Well, look at the kink, the bulge pointing down & to the left at the 40th parallel right off the coast in the string of quakes.

Then, look up at the cluster at the bend in Idaho and those around and above Yellowstone. It SEEMS LIKE there's a SIMILARITY in the say mean line with a similar shaped kink pointing roughly in the same direction.

Is that true?

Therefore what, I haven't the foggiest. But it's interesting. I have no idea what the tectonic plates underneath those respective areas look like.

Build a bomb and throw it into the well. I think that worked on Gilligan's Island.

Wasn't that It's About Time?

HMMMMM

THANKS.

Here's another interesting quake map

FROM:

HERE: http://quake.geo.berkeley.edu/ncedc_all.html

It does have some interesting strings heading off toward Yellowstone from the Northern CA areas.

My old boss (RG, CEG, HG) and the company CIH go up Shasta each year (at least until the ex boss got surprised with twins) and snowboard it. There's quite a few guys in the network who absorbed most of their geological knowledge out here in the west.

I actually worked on a few project with another guy who used to get a forest service permit every year and charter a helicopter to fly a crew into the St Helens crater and drop them off near the resurgent dome... As a recreational excursion...

Spokane, went to the fair there back in the early 70's when we lived over in Moscow. Noorrtthhh Weesssttt (eyes roll up in head) :) Isn't this the greatest country?!

Yes.

The NW is wonderful country. I love Northern Idaho--Pend O'Reille sp? Ray?

And Seattle--thought too many people, too many liberals and too many volcanoes and quakes itching to go off.

Even Mt Spokane is a volcano.

Temp was in the forties like all the other wells in the county. Now it's over eighty and climbing. Holy Moly! Sounds like trouble heading your way.
