The vitriol and vile hatred for Bush by the chest thumping keyboard 'macho men' that have OVERTAKEN FR lately, ...
The crypto-racist posts related to immigration reform are the natural outgrowth of the incessant anti-Muslim posts which have become rampant on the forum. If we are allowed to be bigoted against one group then what's so wrong with being bigoted against another? Again, it's a manifestation of 'tribal justice' whereby if a member of one group does something wrong against a member of our group, then they are all guilty and can all be villified, which is always corrupt and unjust. Tribal justice is the antithesis of conservatism, which judges each and every person on their own individual merits.
The forum cannot expect to succeed in rooting out corruption in our government when it tolerates the cruel encouragement of the corruption in people.

I think that's where most of them live....... lol....could be.

THANK YOU! You said it quite well. Although I don't entirely agree that only woman are turned off by the bad attitudes of a lot of posters in regard to the SOTU and Bush, I appreciate your well spoken sentiment - keep being feisty. These folks who want 100% agreement with the Commander in Chief all of the time are missing the point, we need to win the big issues and compromise in some situations, this is a representative democracy. There are more opinions to be represented then those of these grumps. I am all for Bush and would hate to see these babies undermine a sweeping victory by Bush this year just because he did not espouse one particular issue. Uggh, what crybabies.

Tribal justice is the antithesis of conservatism, which judges each and every person on their own individual merits. Bravo! Well said!
As a Conservative whose primary concern is moral, I find these hard rightists to be the antithesis of conservatism in areas of morality as well, and highly offensive.
But you have nailed it here. To value each person on their own worth as an individual, and not sweep them all into a convenient group or voting block is the essence of conservatism and the polar opposite of the left.
To condemn an entire group by association, whether it be nationality or race OR religion, as is done with regularity by these extremists, is ANTI conservative (as well as being anti-Biblical and anti-American), and needs to be labeled as such.

Crybabies is right.
Before the President even began his speech, they were on this thread whining and moaning.
Not much different than the Dems in that regard........
And thank you for calling our President the Commander in Chief. That's a role that he is carrying out with greatness, and IMO, the most important role he, or any President will ever play.
The crybabies are so self-absorbed and tunnel visioned that they can't even SEE how important this War which has been waged against us is, and how important the strength and resolve of President Bush has been in protecting our safety and our freedom...........even the freedom to be a crybaby who hates him.

To the extent there has been any hesitation at all by Bush and Rove in their hard run to the left it is due to the influence of so-called "unappeasables" who voted for him in 2000 but who are expressing grave reservations about doing so again. We are his conscience, that nagging voice that demands accountability. The simpering, fawning, kowtowing excuse-all sycophants who hang on his every word and call for the heads of his conservative critics--they are the real danger both to his presidency and to this nation. They demand no accountability whatsoever and are content to allow him to distribute breezy platitides to chew on rather than give them the meat of responsible self-government.
I personally like Bush a great deal. He's a wonderful, caring, capable, and decisive man. But he has been ill-served by his legion of blind-worship fans. It is my fondest desire that he be marked in history as one of our great presidents. Unfortunately he has just about squandered his best chances to reach even the second tier.
We "unappeasables" are Bush's best and most loyal friends--because we're willing to tell him his breath stinks and his fly is undone while all his swooning fans bat their eyelashes and beg to be allowed to kiss his Texas boots.
Mega bump!

So are you saying that you would support using deadly government force to prevent 2 homosexuals from walking down an aisle, exchanging vows, having a reception, taking a honeymoon and living together til they die?I just have to ask...does your brain itch when you post stuff like that?
Ooooooh, boy.

I didn't qualify the issue. There are several issues right now that people are jumping on as their reason not to vote for Bush. Thus, anti-Bush sentiment.

Flattery will get you nowhere. Here's your chance to learn about REAL jihad so you can see how Islam and the concept of freedom are polar opposites:

**Karen was on Larry King live tonight. Larry was most gracious to her. She said that she had promised the President she would assist him in his re-election. In the next few months, she will be spending more and more time at the WH, and then after the convention, she will be traveling with the Presidental campaign until election day. **
Wonderful to learn! Thank you!

only if you promise to bring a couple copies of lamenated US Constitutions for Bush. We've given him plenty but he has a nasty habit of scratching out some parts with white out, using his crayons to make new sections in it or just handing the document off to Karl. :P
