Yeah, but it wouldn't be a live thread.I solve the problem by not looking at the TV,I mostly listen.I don't want to view Kennedy or Crusty. These things can be a fun part of listening live and all together. No one says we couldn't enjoy these things...;)

Dream on...want to hear some irony?
My little sister was a Dem for over 20 years and finally saw the light listening to them speak and watching how they behave. Yep, she finally took the blinders off. I applaud her.
As she came to this revelation, I came to one of my own.
I disagree with the President and I am not declaring myself a democrap, but it doesn't stop me from catching the crap here -g-.
I think I have a unique perspective now. I've insulted the Dems. Defended Freepers. Now I know how my daughter feels being bi-racial. She didn't feel accepted by either race.
I taught her that was ignorance {{prejudice}}.
Well, I have or maybe had alot of friends here that have turned on me because I am passionate about this issue and I do not like feeling ANY candidate has sold me out, particularly if it was someone who I adored like Bush.
So in a sense I am in a small club here now. Many of my true friends accept I can differ, even respect it. But if you think the ones who hurl any insult or disapproval of our President are ignorant. The ones calling them on it and carrying on about it are NO better. Get that NO better!
We ignore the posts about 'bashing' which always far outnumber the non-support of Bush, but no one has any right to 'judge' the other NO ONE! Try to remember that people, with all this childish silliness and pettiness. We are not Democraps! 98% of us here are better than that and always have been.
Do you folks remember the vision of FreeRepublic? I thought it was this...an outspoken public forum where we could agree to disagree. -Ptooie-

Write in Tancredo.
And post every Mexican Horde, anti-Bush article you can find onto Free Republic. Get the ugliness underway.
That's what you are here for. You're jazzed beyond belief.

Do you folks remember the vision of FreeRepublic? I thought it was this...an outspoken public forum where we could agree to disagree. -Ptooie- No, they don't remember. But those of us that have our opinions that contradict the whiners don't have to back down. I've seen this happen for over 10 years in lots of political online forums from Compuserve to Yahoo, etc.
Don't let the ones that pretend they can dictate to others take over the message. This isn't our forum, it belongs to Jim Robinson and if he wants to ban everyone that says the Earth revolves around the Sun, that's his option and I won't whine about it...I'll just leave.
The problem with so many is they think this is THEIR forum and only THEIR views should be "allowed".
Reminds me of the Live War Threads we had last March and April. Many of us were there for hours and hours a day and in the early morning, like now, we'd express thoughts, opinions, and even silly banter. Suddenly, someone would "wake up" and come in and totally WHINE about how we should "stick to the subject" and "shouldn't be allowed to banter on", etc. and "I came here to hear the news" like they don't know how to use their computer beyond coming to FreeRepublic.
We laughed at them then and we laugh at them now.

The pander quotient promises to hit an all-time high tonight. There will be squeals of delight infesting this thread from beginning to end. After having run and won as a conservative in 2000, Bush has decided to run hard left. Real smart.
This "unappeasable" hasn't changed since 2000 when I voted for a conservative. The conservative I voted for has morphed into something more fiscally liberal than Bill Clinton at his pandering worst.
Bump!

"It was pure trafficking in fear. A long list of Saddam's arsenal, poised to destroy us. I don't think he'll spend much time on that this year."
I have to agree with you on this...HOWEVER before you start patting yourself on the back, the reason IMHO he won't spend much time on this is because we've been over here DESTROYING Saddam's arsenal for the last year. Why talk about something that's already been done and noted on the TV every night?

I agree MEG. I must admit I'm reading most of this after the fact and am injecting a little armchair QB'ing. But I am sitting over here in the middle of Iraq and didn't get to see the speech last night. I can only read the aftermath. But I swear some of the Bush bashing I see on here makes me think I've logged onto the wrong site. I don't agree with everything that W does either and if anyone should be a stone cold mark for the man it's someone who hails from his hometown. What we as Republican's need to do is adopt the DIM's strategy of voting for their candidate despite his faults because it's better than the alternative. You think every DIM liked Clintoon? No but they voted for him anyway. Party over politics until the election is over.
It appears to me that these people would rather have W go hard right 24/7 and LOSE than shift to the left a little, win re-election pick up more seats in the senate then go back to his conservative base with more power than he started with. And THEN implement the conservative agenda at a place of his time and choosing when he KNOWS he can get it implemented 100%
But then again what the hell do I know? I'm just a soldier in Baghdad helping implement a democratic society in a country that most DIM's and a few people on this very thread last year said we shouldn't go to. So much for what they thought huh?
