Hard to believe this guy is a Republican. No wonder NY keeps electing him to office.

Good thing I'm moving to Conneticut!

It's sad that in NY even Republicans have to pander to the pro-abort, gun control crowd.

He just signaled that he is not running for president.

Bush only signed it because the legislature passed it unanimously. Bush never made it a campaign issue.

I'm glad I'm from NY and haven't lived there for over 20 years.

Have you ever heard of such a load in all your life? It's freakin' extortion. As long as we pay them off, we'll continue to legally possess our handguns.

Don't want to quarter soldiers, pay the tax!
Funny how the third amendment is the only one that still works!

Actually, he said during his campaign if the people wanted the CCW law, he would sign it. The dem said she wouldn't sign it no matter what. He won. She lost.

But, I bet he would have never taken the initiative himself to see it passed, like he did with Medicare expansion.

Bush only signed it because the legislature passed it unanimously. Bush never made it a campaign issue. Not true, he didn't make a big issue, but he did promise to sign a CHL law if the legislature put one on his desk. They did, and he did. It was a HUGE issue in the defeat of his opponent, "Queen Anne" Richards.

Bush only signed it because the legislature passed it unanimously. No way was it unamimously. Way too many anti arms rights folks in the leg for that.

Pataki signed a Concealed Weapons law???The Sullivan Law requiring permits for possession of pistols even in your home, has been around since 1905. Only because the antigun forces had not yet been organized, did the provision for concealed carry under the same law get through.

He sold us all out. He campaigned as a fiscal conservative. What a load of crap that turned out to be. The only thing that matters to politicians is being elected (or re-elected). We're all screwed in NYS.
