When Is Karl Rove Going to Open the Ball on These Guys?

Posted on 01/20/2004 8:48:44 AM PST by VANHALEN2002

When is the President going to start taking the fight to the Democrats? They have had months of carping at him but we haven't heard a peep from Karl Rove and his crew. Is this a calculated move? What issues will they be able to use against Kerry or Clark. Do they negate the presidents clout on defense because they were both in the military? How will they leverage this against the President in a general election?

Wouldn't it be better to hit the campaign trail earlier? The Dem candidates are trashing President Bush at every available opportunity. Should President Bush allow all of these attacks go unanswered?

Nothing makes you look better (politically speaking) as when you look, act, and speak PRESIDENTIAL while in the office of President. In other words as Dubya continues to be presidential in his actions and words it only makes his opponents appear more like wannabes. The best response to the Democrats is to continue to be the Prez. while they destroy each other.

I'm not saying that President Bush should be attacking the Dem candidates at this point.

Instead, I'm wondering if it would be better for President Bush to start earlier with a more energetic campaign with a purely positive message.

it reminds me of watching a football game where a team scores touchdown after touchdown. After looking closely though, you notice that their opponents aren't on the field yet.
Just wait until our team knows who they are playing and take the field in victory.

Why waste your campaign money when you don't even know who your final opponent will be? Once that's determined, a more focused campaign can take place to counter the proposals of the other side. Besides, the Bush camp won't run any attack ads. They just don't do that stuff.

Well if you can't beat em, join em.

I'd say based on his domestic Policy initiatives, that is his core stance on the Democrats.

They still have to lock on to the correct target.

No sense in wasting ammunition on a non-candidate.

Frankly, Bush should run some anti-Kerry ads now if he doesnt want him as a candidate.
