You're absolutely right. Time for a little Russian style justice. Take them to the alley and a bullet to the head.

Stop it all of you!! W needs those votes to stay in office. Without those votes we might get a Democrat who would spend us into oblivion

That is the most astute observation I have read on FR this week (and THE best sarcasm). I hope certain people can see themselves in it and be ashamed.

As regards your post (#50), that seems to be a good idea.

OTOH, perhaps we should build some prisons in the most remote, cold (to repeat myself) parts of Alaska, working out a financial deal with the state of Alaska, of course. Anybody, especially those accustomed to the warm climates, would think twice before commiting a crime and facing the prospect of ending up there.

Such prisons would have the benefit of not having to worry too much about escapees. The bears and wolves, not to mention the harsh weather, would take care of any foolish enough to want to leave.

It is difficult to find the criminals in 20 Million illegal aliens. The very real pressure for low wage employees in the US and for low wage employers in Mexico make the US-Mexico border impossible to rationally control. The US could not build a wall high enough, nor dig a deep enough ditch, nor post enough troops to prevent illegal entry to the US. A policy of controlled entry for guest workers allows the tracking of aliens, screening for criminals, and a measure of dignity for the citizens of our neighbors to the South.

There is no doubt that some of those prohibited from entry (criminals) would try to enter the US illegally. But after implementing a guest worker program, numbers of the illegal alien would be orders of magnitude smaller than the US currently experiences. Those charged with protecting the country would have a more manageable job. The country should not let xenophobia cloud ration discourse.

Let's just bring back the death penalty for rapists. I'm all for equal treatment under the law.

It's real easy to find the ones in prison.

Gangs of men act badly in NY because they are pretty confident that the sheep are unarmed. Would have been a pretty sight if "boyfriend, 37" had pulled out .45 and wasted one of them. Bet that would have ended this without a rape.

Gob Bless Bernard Goetz!

"Are we going to see each headline that lists a rape or gang rape where the perps are citizens read 'US citizens gang rape woman'."

Uh oh...now you've done it! I look at it like this....this rape would have never happened if these illegal aliens were never here in the first place.

Probably not.

"The very real pressure for low wage employees in the US and for low wage employers in Mexico make the US-Mexico border impossible to rationally control."

The pressure is artificially created. Technological innovation could remove alot of this pressure. Allowing dinosaur industries do die could help also.

"The US could not build a wall high enough, nor dig a deep enough ditch, nor post enough troops to prevent illegal entry to the US."

The US could do anything it wanted to if it put it's mind and might into it. Unfortunately, there is no heart left, just spineless jellyfish ruling this nation from D.C. to the Rio Grande.

"A policy of controlled entry for guest workers allows the tracking of aliens, screening for criminals, and a measure of dignity for the citizens of our neighbors to the South."

I'm sure the young lady in this article still has a lot of dignity left thanks to these same neighbors. And since the phrase "controlled entry" was uttered by the Reagan administration 18 years ago, it has spiraled out of control. I find this entire proposal to be a smelly heap of Bovine Scattalogy.

" There is no doubt that some MANY of those prohibited from entry (criminals) would try will still succeed to enter the US illegally."

This sentence cried out for a proper edit for factual correctness.

"But after implementing a guest worker program, numbers of the illegal alien would be orders of magnitude smaller than the US currently experiences."

Bunk. Prove it. You can't. It's pie in the sky nonsense of the type uttered by the liberals in the 60's who claimed the "Great Society" would eliminate poverty.

"Those charged with protecting the country would have a more manageable job."

And the tooth fairy will eliminate the nation's deficit.

"The country should not let xenophobia cloud ration discourse."

Do you know why we do not speak Latin? Because a certain empire did not let xenophobia cloud their rational discourse. They paid a severe price in the end. As shall we.

"Would the crime have been any less outrageous if a bunch of U.S. citizens would have committed it?"

A better question:

Would the crime have occured if the government fufilled it's Constitutionally sworn duty to protect the borders?

"This stuff happens ALOT more than reported."

That's why as it happens I'll post it. I'm searching the web daily when possible to find these articles and news about abuses of the INS and Border Patrol.
