Four illegal aliens were among the five men who brutally gang-raped a New York City woman.
The woman described her ordeal in a scathing letter to state Supreme Court Justice Randall Eng, saying the men carried out their attack like "a pack of wild wolves in search of their prey."
"They punched me so hard that I was knocked to the floor," the 43-year-old victim wrote before Eng sentenced one of her attackers Thursday, Victor Cruz, to 21 years in prison, the New York Post reported.
"They savagely dragged me like an animal, like a piece of furniture, and took me to a secluded area of the park, a hut, a foul place that smelled so bad that not even animals should be made to be there, where I was brutally and repeatedly raped by five or more men," she said of the Dec. 19, 2002 attack.
The New York paper said Cruz, Luis Carmona, Carlos Rodriguez, Armando Juvenal and José Hernandez pleaded guilty in December to rape and kidnapping charges in exchange for sentences of 20 to 23 years.
"This is a crime that can only be described as one of blood-chilling inhumanity," Eng told Cruz, 22, who apologized to the woman, according to the Post.
All of the attackers, except Carmona, were in the United States illegally, the New York daily said, which prompted criticism from groups who charge the Immigration and Naturalization Service consistently fails to deport dangerous illegals.
The victim, a mother of two, said she is afraid to go out, has nightmares and is unable to sleep.
"I feel depressed and sad most of the time, and cannot even perform simple activities a lot of times," she wrote.
The attack took place in Queens at 9:30 p.m. on a walkway connecting the National Tennis Center to Shea Stadium.
According to the New York Daily News, she was sitting on a bench with her boyfriend after a dinner date when suddenly they were surrounded by about nine men who "acted like a pack of wild wolves," grabbing her while they punched and kicked her 37-year-old boyfriend.
She was dragged to a shantytown along the Long Island Rail Road tracks where at least three of the men lived and was sexually tortured for three hours before being rescued by police, the Daily News said.
Juvenal, Carmona and Rodriguez are to be sentenced next Thursday. Hernandez will undergo a psychiatric exam and be sentenced next month.
The victim is suing the city and the Metropolitan Transit Authority for $50 million
In a brief statement, Cruz apologized for the attack.
"I hope she will one day be able to overcome this nightmare," he said

20 million more illegals won't make a difference. They will add "diversity" to our nation. Right?

I'm not supporting "illegals", but this headline reminds me of he hyping of SUV dangers.
Are we going to see each headline that lists a rape or gang rape where the perps are citizens read "US citizens gang rape woman".

As long as there are people willing to defend the new policy proposal, as long as we keep the borders wide freaking open, and as long as there are RINOs which think that 8 to 10 million more illegals on top of the 10 plus already here is a good thing, then yes, I will post every item of news relating to illegal immigration that I find.

All of these men had been in prison for felonies, including sex crimes, and by law should have been deported as soon as their sentences expired.
They were not. Thanks to laws in New York protecting illegal aliens. State and city employees were forbidden to call the INS on anybody.
These men should not have BEEN HERE in 2002 to rape and nearly kill the victim. So now she's a victim of the rapists AND her government, which willfully decided to ignore the laws and procedures which absolutely would have prevented this from happening. It's a double injustice. I don't know why this is such a hard concept for people to grasp.

Let these filthy serve their time in Crawford Texas on a release time program.
My real choice would be the Death Penalty and real soon.
Close the Borders.
The govt. can't lock them all up????
Oh No! They did a bang up Job on putting all the Japanese in internment camps during the 2nd world war.
These people are no less a threat to our citizens, Just ask the woman from flushing how she feels.

The undocumented workers were just doing their job, following standard procedure. There is no record of any undocumented worker ever violating a citizen.

Many articles in the local press did mention their status, as well as the fact that none were deported as they should have been.

These illegals are just raping women Americans refuse to rape. Americans just won't murder, smuggle, rob, hijack and defraud enough either. Twenty-five per cent of California prison inmates are illegal aliens. They are just taking prison cells Americans won't fill.

The fact that one of the homeless rapists living in the park was a legal immigrant bothers me too --- it shows how completely messed up our immigration and enforcement policies are.

Maybe that's true in this case --- I read some other place that the victim of these guys was an immigrant from Cuba --- but maybe she's a Cuban American citizen.
