You won a great one!!! Considering how hard the moderators work to keep any kind of hate speech off the forum, I'd say you were unnecessarily slandered.
The rest of the net could take a lesson from you and FR; the leftist sites are filled with hate speech.
Anyway, congratulations to you.

It's good to see the leftist schmucks have to take responsibility for a change.

The City of Fresno also wishes to announce that Debbie Reyes, the Chair of its Human Relations Commission has resigned from her position, effective January 2, 2004. Almost shedding a half-frozen tear.

Nice.

The City of Fresno officially retracts the press release and acknowledges that the City had no basis for referring to the Free Republic as a hate group or accusing them of making threats against minorities. The City of Fresno also wishes to announce that Debbie Reyes, the Chair of its Human Relations Commission has resigned from her position, effective January 2, 2004. Nice juxtaposition of, I am sure, totally unrelated events ... ;)

Great news!!! Great job!!!

Jim,
Why do these folks keep referring to Free Republic as "the Free Republic"? I know it's no big deal, but is there any basis for this phrasing?
Regards,
LH

You go Jim, you didn't even take that much from them.
When I first heard of the "secret" settlement I'm thinking a mil or two.
What a noble thing to do to take the stupid 60 gees and come visit us. You should just keep it, you earned it just with all the hell you catch from me alone.
I hope you get near South Florida, there are a bunch of us here and I've been wanting to meet you for years.
GOD BLESS YOU MY FRIEND.

What a great win. I had always heard it is impossible to sue a city.
