[history]
This is PETA's Super Bowl ad pitch to CBS: Two scantily clad women try to seduce a pizza man but discover that he can't deliver "the goods". CBS rejected the ad. PETA says the network isn't playing fair.
Michael McGraw, spokesman for the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), said the group used the provocative subject matter to make the point that eating meat causes impotence.

What if mental illness actually causes vegetarianism? That's a possibility too.

Problem went away as soon as I came to my senses and started eating meat again. I get sick and depressed if I don't get red meat every so often. Nothing like a med-rare juicy tender steak and a couple glasses of pinot noir!

Thousands of species of carnivores existing for millions of years say otherwise. Don't bother PETA people with facts. They just get in the way of what they're trying to do.

"CBS has no problem with airing commercial after commercial advocating the consumption of fried chicken, pork sausage and fast-food burgers, even though eating these products are making Americans fat, sick and boring in bed,"
Damn that just about covers all the bases
Pass the veggie burgers

This morning I had Dean Edell on the radio and he said that there is a form of dementia that is caused by vitamin B12 deficiencies. Since vitamin B12 is generally obtained in our diet from meat and dairy products, he said this is a concern for vegans.

Where is the evidence that eating meat causes impotence? I think it's junk science.
They should still be allowed to air the AD though. All ads are lies of half-truths. Nonetheless, the airwaves are public and are supposed to be licensed to companies who will operated them in a fair and equitable manner.
It's not exactly like the New York Times being able to accept and reject ads, because unlike the paper which they buy themselves ... the airwaves are ours.
At least in theory.
To: Sweet_Sunflower29
CBS spokesman Dana McClintock said the network rejected the ad because of its "general policy against airing advocacy advertisements. PETA argues that's not true, pointing out that CBS had aired an anti-smoking commercial from Truth.com during the Super Bowl. It's a proven fact that smoking is a deadly habit. No such reliable study exists suggesting that veggies = Viagra. What this ad seems to do best is suggest that vegetarians have more casual sex, putting them at risk for contracting AIDS, of which PETA honchette Ingrid Newkirk said, "Even if animal research resulted in a cure for AIDS, we'd be against it."
Even Philip Morris and RJ Reynolds -- the targets of the smug, self-righteous, often distorted Truth.com spots -- are doing their own anti-smoking ads, as a result of the Faustian deal to keep the Clinton administration from striking the industry dead.
CBS has nothing to fear from the tobacco giants if they run the anti-smoking spots, because they are prohibited from running ads for the product.
As for PETA spokesperson Lisa Lange, who says meat-eating is making Americans "boring in bed;" how much research has she done regarding that assertion? She's proving my first point, the slaw-eating slut.

I respectfully disagree, Pam Anderson IMO is not cute. As silicon just doesn't do a thing for me. Now you want cute, try
this.
Now I do admit a preference for 'old' broads, but at least this one has claaaaaaass. Oh and she eats meat.
No disrespect meant to 'old broads'.
