Ask the DA if the perps had kidnapped a cop would deadly force be justified? You already know what the answer is, if you even look like you may touch the uniform of a LEO then you have "assaulted" him and deadly force is automatically justified.

More to the story than we know is my guess.

He didn't have to use deadly force. He could have just surrendered meekly and been killed. That way there would be only one dead person instead of two. That's a 50% reduction in handgun deaths right there... How do you expect the police to define success?
< sarc> Definitely remembering to close the sarcasm tag on this one...

I'd like to replace the ammo for him. Who knows what they were going to do to him later. He had a chance to save his life and did what he had to do.

A good reason for gun control.
He controlled his weapon well enough to take
out both perps.
An expert medal is needed.

He's going to have to prove that he was taken against his will. So far, all he has is his word. What if he made that part up? Another strike against him is that the perps were each shot in the back of the head. That doesn't look much like self defense to police or to the judicial system.
It's too early to judge this case, IMO.

Man... someone storms my house and wants me to withdraw money from an ATM and there is going to be some issues. To begin with, my wife and I own no ATM cards. Not a single one, nada.

Let's Hear It!! What is your opinion??? Ship all the cops and lawyers prosecuting the homeowner on one way tickets to England. Make the city pay the homeowner a penalty for harrassing him. Put up a sign in the police department saying "It's about getting the BAD guys, stupid!"
To: tberry
Are there any witnesses besides the 2 dead perps that can backup the shooters story? Maybe he was robbing them and killed them to shut them up. He could also be a sexual pervert that killed to keep his secret.

A Grand Prairie homeowner, with a concealed handgun license, says two men stormed his home and forced him to withdraw cash. He says he felt his life was in danger before he fatally shot them. Should he have been arrested on capital murder charges? |

"They may have known about him, may have known he had monies," Detective John Brimmer (pictured, left) said. and the point of that is...? (Other than to advance the "you don't need a gun because mist people are killed by family members and people they know" agenda)
withdraw cash from an ATM Tuesday morning. ...On the drive home
OK. now it's passed the "just give them the money and they'll leave you alone point".

What is this about?
Is this two different cases?
A Grand Prairie homeowner, with a concealed handgun license, says two men stormed his home and forced him to withdraw cash. He says he felt his life was in danger before he fatally shot them.
On the drive home, Deal, who has a concealed handgun license, says he pulled out a pistol from his pocket and shot Wesley Lewis Duncan, 40, and Wylie Bailey Casey, 35, in the head.
Which is it? Or is it two separate incidents?
Thanks.

Grand Prairie, Texas has a majority black population. I think this reflects the soft-on-crime liberal politics of the black majority in this area. Grand Prarie, and Austin are the two areas of Texas with the largest concentration of liberal knuckleheads. This wouldn't have happened anywhere else in Texas.
