Looks like it's tomorrow night at 12:30 AM.
They've delayed by one sol.

If they moved tonight, as was discussed in the Sunday AM JPL briefing, the story would have been competing for coverage with the President's address at JSC tomorrow.I see. Thanks, I did not catch that.

Thanks :-)

Good night!

Looks like the actual event will occur in one sol (24 hours and 45 minutes).
Today's press release noted that the rover was moving, but not on the surface of the planet yet.
JPL originally said that the rover would be taking first rolling steps today.
Someone must have decided to keep to the original timeline (which called for steps on Weds-Thurs night).
The JPL press conference on Sunday AM (4 days ago) noted that the UHF lo-gain antennae was performing so well through Odyssey and MGS that they were cracking a third set of commands (instead of the two sets that they were predicting). Basically, JPL sends commands and then waits for the rover to return signals and information to confirm movement. Instead of only two passes through the high-gain antenna, they got enough timing and passes to squeeze in a third set of commands during the passes of Odyssey and MGS when the Earth has already set on Gusev.
It sounds like the MGS and Odyssey vehicles are capable of transmitting commands and establish 2 way comm with the MER rover at Gusev.
Remarkable work!
Will return to FR in 24 hours to watch the night time video from Mars of our rover going where no nation has gone before!

We'll be back on tomorrow night when the first steps by a human created tool will occur on Mars. Huh? I thought Mars Pathfinder took "the first steps."
