LOS ANGELES - A 35-year-old woman was sentenced to death Monday for poisoning her husband with a combination of antifreeze and an oleander plant.
Angelina Rodriguez, of Montebello, will become the 15th woman on California's death row unless her sentence is altered by the state Supreme Court on appeal. Death penalty cases are automatically appealed under state law.

Angelina Rodriguez, of Montebello, will become the 15th woman on California's death row unless her sentence is altered by the state Supreme Court on appeal. It's appalling there's that many women on death row in California. Why aren't they being executed? What's the holdup?

No one gets executed in California.

Let me add that I'm not exactly sure why though. You'll have to ask someone else.

None of the 3 branches of government in Cal have the will to carry out the death penalty. We are in the 9th circus court appelate district and the last execution they approved was a spanish soldier who took a shot and Padre Serra.
The public does not demand it even thought polls continuously show a majority support it. Now they are proposing a $300,000,000 construction of death row because it's too crowded at San Quentin.

Let me add that I'm not exactly sure why though.Liberals need every vote they can get.
There's presently a liberal move afoot to restore their right to vote.

Haven't they executed the sewer rat that killed Polly Clas?

Last I recall, we were executing 1 or 2 a year and over 20 were sentenced to death annually.

OK, she poisons one man and gets the death penalty. Fine.
Lee boy Malvo kills or helps to kill several people, and all he gets is 20 years or less? What is it with the American criminal justice system? Is it really nothing more than a glorified lottery?

OK, she poisons one man and gets the death penalty. Not to fret. Odds are in her favor she won't be executed. This is California, afterall.

II fel she does need to die, and it can't happen too soon. I knew and worked with her husband Frank. I was his supervisor for over 2 years. I was also the person that she tried to frame for his murder.
Kill her and get it over with!!!!!
