Perhaps now Col Hackworth will finally be able admit the truth now as well.

The three - army Brigadier-Generals Keith Kerr and Virgil Richard, and Rear-Admiral Alan Steinman of the Coast Guard - said the policy had been ineffective and undermined the military's core values - truth, honour, dignity, respect and integrity. It was ok when these 3 "men" violated said values by being liars? and potential security risks?

Rear-Admiral Alan Steinman LOL!!!

"Because gays and lesbians are required to serve in silence and in celibacy, the policy is almost impossible to follow," said Admiral Steinman. "It has been effectively a ban." Well no s&!t, Dick Tracy. This bone smuggler knew the rules going in. Nobody pointed a gun at his head and forced him to join the military. If he had gone to college and moved into a civilian job, this never would have been a problem. But no, homosexuals always have to be elevated to a martyr role, make a damn nuisance of themselves, and make everybody else's life hell.

This article reminds me of the lyrics to The North Atlantic Squadron.

Like they say, 10% of the population.
(not that there's anything wrong with that!)
I served with more than a few officers who I would have bet were gay. I had to process a drill sergeant out of the Army for having a homosexual relationship while away at a professional school. He had a wife and two kids.

Just goes to prove you can do a good job and serve your country well and honorably and still be gay. Good for them.

It would be nice if they could "lose" their pension checks for several years....

Rear-Admiral Alan Steinman of the Coast Guard As a navy man, this phrase leaves me laughing my butt off, no pun intended

These fags do nothing but hurt the military by coming out of the closet. Less normal folks will sign up if faggotry is ever accepted by the military. And the division of America will continue to deepen....

Rear-Admiral Alan Steinman of the Coast Guard This brings a whole new persepective to the rank of "Rear-Admiral." :-)
