Wonder if the were Air Police or civilian DoD guards? The latter would not surprise me. Why's that? My recent experience at several different bases has been that the civilian guards are much more strict and wary.

You'd be surprised that the ones who create security policy don't know squat about it? Do you know how frustrating it is to have to FOLLOW IT? Civilian security does their job like their lives depend on it. And we also don't get those govt benefits.
