Jewish advocacy groups led an avalanche of sharp criticism yesterday against two potential television ads that compare President Bush to Adolf Hitler and were posted on a Web site run by MoveOn.org.

The Simon Wiesenthal Center, the Anti-Defamation League and the American Jewish Congress said the ads were beyond the pale of political discussion. Rep. Eric Cantor, Virginia Republican, called them "hate-mongering."

The address given on the link which I cannot seem to bring up on this thread is:

http://www.networksolutions.com

Click on: Who Is?

Enter: Moveon.org

You have an excellent point if these people claim to have tax-free status.

During December the MoveOn.org Voter Fund invited members of the public to submit ads ......"None of these was our ad, nor did their appearance constitute endorsement or sponsorship by MoveOn.org Voter Fund," he said

SS. How the heck do you "invite" them, then claim no responsibility?

This is more " clinton speak" !

They may not be claiming such status. I read on their site that donations are not tax deductible.

Thanks Doug - my machine seems to me reluctant to open up their site this morning.

I can only read so much and I get freeze and jitters (my machine does).

Perhaps I'll try later to dissect their confabulations.

Pretty desperate moves for some very desperate people.

"You can't fool all the people all the time...." comes to mind here.

Yeah, that moveon.org is a bunch of $hit. My grandfather was forced to work for the German army during WWII. They gave him the choice of wearing a uniform to go out and fight American and allied forces, supporting the war effort by surrendering his trucking company to the nazi war effort, or go to the "work" camps. He was against war and killing and knew what went on in the camps, So he chose to give them all his trucks and work for them that way. They sentenced him to die in the camps twice, once for opposing the war effort and another for helping jews flee the country. He rebuilt his trucking company from scratch 3 times during the war and had it destroyed by the nazis every time. He was a determined man and a survivor and I honestly don't know how he survived those times....Comparing Bush to Hitler is a slap in the face even to educated Americans who are of German descent. Bush never murdered any of his fellow countrymen or set out on a conquest for world domination resulting in millions of lives lost. Moveon.org did more damage to themselves than they know.

They never apologize - they change the blame. Typical liberals.

No kidding. I was peruasing Democratic Underground earlier this morning (got the flu so I'm not sleeping well) out of curiousity to see how those whackos feel about the ad. Take a look at this:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=102&topic_id=299700

Out of 35 comments, maybe two reject the comparison-- the rest say that MoveOn was wrong to pull the ad because it speaks the "truth."

The irrational hatred of Bush by the Left is the GOP's greatest asset right now. I'm hoping that during the GOP convention, 100,000 angry leftists takeover Times Square chanting "Bush=Hitler." While most Democrats are reasonable people, and don't agree with the whackos-- I'm betting the whackos will scare the hell out of moderate Americans, pushing them into voting for Bush. It could also promote a higher turnout among conservative likely-Bush voters.

It could also help with the Jewish vote. Right now I'm thinking Bush gets about 40% of the Jewish vote. However, if leftist whackos keep up the Bush=Hitler nonsense, that % could get a lot higher.

Not to mention Americans of Jewish, Polish, French, Czech, Hungarian, Romanian, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Bulgarian etc. descent. Or really ANY educated Americans.
