Yet, none of them had to deal with a major attack on the U.S. mainland, and the economic aftermath of 9/11.

The Bombing of the World Trade Center in New York City

On 26th February 1993, at approximately 12.18 p.m., an improvised explosive device exploded on the second level of the World Trade Center parking basement.

What would you call that Luis? And why do you think the Clinton Administration didn't take advantage of this terrorist attack by inciting fear mongering among the populace?...The Patriot Act is something that would seem right up his alley.

People ask what freedoms I believe I have personally lost to this fascist Act?
So I ask them...how many terrorists have personally attacked you?

I know Muslim zealots have committed terrorist acts against this country since at least 1968.

Ashcroft says the terrorists use our freedoms as weapons against us...He would eliminate such weapons. That, in essense, is what the Patriot Act is all about.

If Bill Clinton's Administration had proposed such an act, this "conservative" chatroom would have been endorsing revolution against the State.

I call that a terrible event, but the airlines did not stop flying, Wall Street did not shut down, the market didn't do a nose dive, tourism was not stopped for days and crippled for months to come.

While the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma was a tragedy, it had nearly no impact on the economy of the nation as a whole, unlike the attacks on 9/11. The cost to New York ALONE exceeded $90 billion dollars, there were 237,000 jobs lost in the travel industry alone in the aftermath.
