My biggest concern with Dean is that he will continue going off the deep end with all these splinter groups to stir up the lowest common denominator, and after he gets the nomination, he will play himself off as being middle of the road bordering on conservative for the big gigs, assuming (probably rightly so) that the majority of folks haven't followed the campaign all that closely before the primary. I hope I'm wrong, but there is nothing I fear as much as the voting capacity of stupid people in large numbers under the influence of the evil leaders that depend on their "service."

Yes ---- I don't think Republicans are wise to get too over-confident and think a lot of the Clinton and Gore/Nader voters have switched over. And they might think they have the votes of the Mexicans locked up if they give amnesty --- but I think that's not a sure thing and in fact would help the democrats. It didn't help the over-all hispanic vote turn go to the Republicans after the first blanket amnesty --- Reagan got more a percentage of the hispanic vote than any Republican since.
